That's the problem with trying to win by being 'entertaining' we don't get to see, or like, the real person. {Although i think we saw the NASTY side of him very clearly.]

He certainly did not win because he was popular. The thrust of the arguments in support of him winning were all 'he's been the most entertaining' 'he's been the show' NOT "he's such a nice guy'.

He did NOTHING to make anyone actually like him and, if that was his goal, it was a big, BIG fail.

Side note- Personally I still think Frankie was the best of both worlds, entertaining, funny AND kind. he should have won, but his fan base live in another country and BB stuffed all the other HMs in the edits.
There was a moment with Stephen and Marnie in the garden where she said something like 'they wanna sing and dance and be all pally and I just want to get drunk and put on a good tv show' (it was something like that, if not exactly that)

It showed a big difference in how the reality people thought and what BB was to them.

What they think is entertaining is tiresome and boring to me, I and I think a lot of long term BB fans, are more interested in the relationships and the natural conflicts that arise not forced ones.

For someone unlikeable, he seems to find girlfriends who fall in love with him very easily. Lillie and Vicky, in the last year alone.

For the same reason people pay to watch monkeys in the zoo flinging crap at each other, having sex and presenting their bottoms to onlookers .
The monkeys I saw at the zoo knew what to do with a banana.

That's very true but there's men on death row with seven teeth between them who have women writing to them declaring undying love and proposing marriage so...

Was that with or without the cameras or press interest?

I'm sorry but is he actually mentally challenged or deluded or what?

“The reason I was doing it was to show that as a person I’m actually all right. You saw all sides of me in the house. The fact I still won feels amazing. “It should be celebrated – I am a nice person. I’m funny and charming and nice to be with.

“I was the only genuine one. I was the only person that showed genuine emotion and said what I believed in. That’s probably why I won. I was the underdog.”

I think he may be self-medicating.

None of them actually liked him. That would defeat the whole purpose of supporting him, which was to be contentious.
Absolutely correct.

He's a freak with no filter . People weren't laughing with him , they were laughing at him and waiting for his next bit of metaphorical shit slinging so they could be once more amazed at how he has managed to retain his teeth in the real world .
Which just about sums up what Aubrey said. I agree 100%. He's a knob and a bully.

Sad lonely and unattractive women write to Death Row inmates. Vicky and Lexie are both successful and pretty. Vicky is much more famous than Bear so didn't need him to boost her own celebrity. Try again.

Something to do with their agents? The reality lot seem to be rather incestuous.

Bear could have had fun in that house and still come out the winner and been liked by everybody. But the fact is he doesn't know when to stop. He pushes and goads while still believing he is being entertaining and having fun. He doesn't care how people on the receiving end feel. The truth is he cant control how he behaves because what we have seen is the real Bear and it isnt very nice.

Bullies whom I meet in my workshops in London schools share a common strait in their behaviour - a stunning lack of self-awareness. They mistakenly believe that their bullying and intimidating behaviour towards others will make them popular amongst their peers, which is quite the opposite. The only people who 'support' them are those who 'aspire' to be bullies themselves, often encouraging them to be the 'front' boy or girl. 'Bear' was careful to bully only women in the house, often the stance of a male coward, pushing them to the limit on numerous occasions. Almost without exception, the males in the house stood back, as often happens in school. The girls in question were then faced with the decision to respond violently which risked being evicted from the house by BB or to ignore the bullying which would have left them vulnerable to being ejected by the losers who vote to fund this type of gladiatorial television. Self-esteem and self worth are driven into the ground in their joint quest for 'fame'. If you look at the recent 'winners' of CBB, they have mostly come from 'reality' shows where your discernible 'talents' amount to nothing more than your capacity to drink, have sex, allow yourself to be turned over - in all senses of the phrase! - and generally humiliate yourself in public. An amoral X-Factor. 'Bear' cannot understand the link between 'winning' and not being liked. He has the mindset of an irritable child, trapped in an adult body. He mistakes his' winning' as equivalent to being liked whereas, in the 'real' world they purport to occupy, the reverse is usually the case.

Just because he thinks he's a nice person does not make him a nice person.
He was aware it was a game. He won the game
If he continues to give bad interviews and now starts to blame people working for BB or the public for not liking him he will not go far

He should have owned his behavior when he came out.

Exactly. He could easily admit that Bear is a persona or say that there is more to him than what we saw in the house but he chose not to do this.

Excellent post.

I bet if you asked people who voted for him 'do you want to live with him?' There would be a resounding 'No'.

If he can't reign it in, which he apparently can't, he'lll disappear soon because he won't be wanted on panel shows or anything as he's too unpredictable and disruptive. Filming would be nightmare A touch of the Freddie Starr's .....

Great summing up.
His honeymoon period ended very quickly, I don't think it was even 24 hours before he realised that winning, as he did, made him disliked, not liked.

He's just plain unlikeable to a lot of people. Why can't he accept this?

Because he's a spoilt, self obsessed, entitled tosser with an over inflated sense of his own importance. He appears to demand adoration from 'his public' despite being completely undeserving of respect in any way, shape or form.
But he's a typical example of generation me who think it's their God given right to be a celeb just because he thinks he's the dogs,he thinks we all should as well

What are the viewing and voting figures for CBB?
It is an achievement to win..but I'm wondering just how big a show it is.

The whole nation didn't vote for him
