I posted days ago that Bear has no friends. No-body likes him and he can't understand why, poor soul. Give him 10 years and he may start to understand why.
BIB - you're way too optimistic.

He's just plain unlikeable to a lot of people. Why can't he accept this?
He turns everything - it's the housemates who are negative, not him, even though he's a sinkhole of negativity.

Emma didn't like him, that's because SHE'S wrong - not that he was dismissive and uncooperative.

He's a 'winner', and that means it's other people's fault if they don't like him.

He's the 'underdog' even though he was protected and given an extremely biased edit.

It's hard to tease the strands of it all, because we want to think he CAN'T be THAT delusional and it must be his ACT.

And it is SO crude, so blatant, so childish - sort of 'If I say this over and over and over it will be the truth'.

Sadly though, I think though he's bright enough to hurt people, he is emotionally and essentially stupid. I think he's also 'real' - this is just how he ALWAYS operates and always has.

Ugly, constant, nasty wind ups disguised as fun give him pleasure, and if people make a fuss, then it's more fun and their fault. And if things don't go his way, then they are out to get him for no reason or because they are jealous, or nasty and they are wrong.

Nothing is ever his fault or responsibility. And so far as it might be, a piss taking 'sorry' is good enough and they should be grateful and get over it.

He thinks he is richly deserving and damned fine.

He's an utter UTTER knob.

Sad lonely and unattractive women write to Death Row inmates. Vicky and Lexie are both successful and pretty. Vicky is much more famous than Bear so didn't need him to boost her own celebrity. Try again.
BiB 1: No, not at all. Most are average or pleasant looking.

BiB 2: The women may look different or have different careers, but the men are all the same: their names are in the news. It doesn't matter what they're in the news for. You can spell infamous without famous.

Bear wasnt in the news when Vicky started dating him - he was just a civilian contestant on EotB. Ppl are talking about Bear as if he wound hms up 24/7, which wasnt the case if you watched the LF. Every night in the last week he was peacefully playing bowls with Ricky.

Ricky was babysitting the knob to give the others a break.

Do you think Ricky honestly likes Bear?

I think he was acting as a 'care worker' myself. Very decent man.

On LF is was exactly the same pain in the arse, actually - most of the time.

Zarla is straw clutching.

He has split up with both of these women within the year and really quite acrimoniously. Ask them now if they like him? As much as I despise him I have to admit he is physically attractive and I can certainly see women throwing themselves at him but I can't see any of them actually sticking with him for long.

Ricky said something very telling about Bear, that he was careful never to give anything of himself to Bear or wtte. I understood him to mean he knew Bear would likely use anything against him if he could to wind him up or bait him.

In hindsight Ricky did an excellent job and was really quite clever being able to be there for Bear and be a friend for him even whilst managing to keep separate and not get drawn in to the negativity.

Yes, Renee said something in the same vein only she wasn't as cautious as Ricky and admonished herself for showing some weakness to Bear, saying that he'd used it as a weapon later. That's calculated.

Perhaps bear should stop acting for a minute and ask himself WHY no one likes him inspite of his win. He won't listen to anyone else telling him why.

I really don't think he is acting. I think he is a genuinely nasty, self absorbed, immature spoilt brat without any sense if morals, duty, empathy, responsibility or team spirit. He may be legally an adult but his parents, family & friends enable him to live his life like this, as did BB. It is mainly of his own choosing but it is als symptomatic of someone who has never been held to account, never had to take responsibility for his actions and who has clearly not had clear boundaries while growing up.

I don't think he's acting though Fred .
Acting up , yes definitely . But I think that's his default mode .
He's like a strange little person from an obscure tribe who's been tossed in among western society and assumes everyone will 'get' him and his hyper weirdness so he just does his own weird stuff and you can like it or lump it matey . Clearly, going by his comments re his school days , he's always been like this .It's not an act for reality TV , he's simply nuts .
He just isn't wired properly in his brain , simple as that . Call it what you will or give it a fancy psycho-babble name , but it boils to him having loose wires that should have been dealt with loooong ago .
Looking at his da they are very similar in looks and temperament and I bet daddy was proud that his mini-me was so in-yer-face like daddy when growing up . He won't have seen any need to fix baby Bear's loose wires , in fact he'll not have noticed them .

I said before she was on that I expected her to be some husk of a woman.

Then she was on Bots and looked okay, but I was .....prozac and gin, but was hoping she was actually okay.

And then I saw her on eviction night.

She's a husk. I bloody hope there is some way out for her. Perhaps this whole BB thing might provide it.

We only saw about 2 hrs of live feed per week, so I don't know how you can draw a conclusion from that. I know one thing, from the LF. On the last night he was in the pool, alone and he wanted the other HMs to stay and party with him and they all declined.
Only Marnie would put up with him and Ricky because he's too polite to be mean.

The others were all just worn out by being in his company for 4 weeks. It's very wearing being around someone who can't sit still and just have a normal conversation, especially when you've been irritated by them since the first week.

Yes that struck me too - they all got up in one go to go inside while he was going on about "havin' a pahteh" - leaving him alone in the pool - even Marnie left him
