So Senor Bear honestly thought he was being a positive happy guy in there?

Or did he think that simply by virtue of winning that suddenly he would be likable?

Does he really think the other HMs are simply jealous because they won't tolerate him now they're out?

Does he really think reading a presenters auto cue as they're trying to do a link is 'bantz'?

Does he honestly not know that you shouldn't speak over people repeatedly?

Does he try to direct attention to himself when other people are talking unknowingly?

I've got lots of questions

They voted Frankie "most entertaining housemate" so yeah, they enjoyed having Frankie around. All we got to see was some masked idiot sitting on a zebra constantly shouting, "ROOFLESS!"

Didn't he also get most deserving winner or something?

If there'd have been any justice they would have had sashes for the 'most antagonising HM' 'least self aware HM' 'most deluded HM' 'most intolerable HM'
You see where I'm going with it

Yeah, I see... Bear would also have bagged, "Most Sociopathic Housemate", "Most Callous Housemate", "Most Selfish Housemate", lol, yeah you get the idea.

Maybe if he'd received those sashes it might have given him paws(!) for thought (bear paws)

It's a shame he was eternally nominated because he never got to hear everyone giving specific things he'd done wrong twice a week.

If he's truly oblivious that would have been a big help in understanding why no one is happy he's won.

Well to be fair to him (can't believe I typed that ) , if you have won a month long reality show then you really should expect to come out to some sort of adulation and people clamouring to share the love wherever you deign to present your royal winnerness. After all you won because people voted for you didn't you ?
But aside from the eviction night razzamataz it appears he has sunk into a black hole . Nobody can be arsed trying to control him when he has made it clear he cannot be controlled in interviews or anywhere . Who wants him messing up their interview schedules and farting around squeeing loudly over everyone else in the vicinity .
Yeah it was great fun doing a rage against the machine style protest vote but it was cruel too . All it did was make him look like the loser he is , because nobody important actually likes the idiot .

That's the problem with him actually being an asshole. He wasn't "acting" in the house as some FMs thought. He's like that professionally too. Which means he won't be around for long.

I wish that were true but someone mentioned Jim Davidson on another thread, and there was also Bernard Manning and other twonks who were as knob-headed as they appeared to be, for real - they managed to have a loyal fan base, and a career of sorts, all the same.

They already had those fanbases.

It's a ratio -- Asshole:Money

The more money you generate for all involved the more of an asshole you can be. He doesn't generate much money. So he'll end up back on Geordie Ex Essex Beach or whatever and that'll be it.

I think it was "most entertaining " title that Frankie got, that Bear "got the 'ump" about .

Bear got "joker " and "best dressed". Agree with your titles

Yeah you could be right - I'm badly conflicted though, because I had an unexpected response to the thread asking if bear was going to be in the all stars edition (if it's going to happen). I actually would watch it - although I find bear to be almost unwatchable and had to fast forward a lot of his airtime, especially when they spent long, long, minutes at a time on him talking to himself in LF.

I think I genuinely find it utterly fascinating to see how people cope with someone like him in close (and closed) quarters. I also felt sorry for this CBBs HMs, but in all stars at least they'd be going in with the full knowledge of what he's like.

Frankie and Ricky tied on most deserving winner...two each. Marnie chose Bear. BB said she had to choose between them and she shuffled the cards and held one up..Frankie won. She did have the cheek to ask if she could chose someone else other than those two.

Yeah that was ridiculous when she asked, made me laugh though, the nerve of it.

Frankie was the one deemed most deserving winner, most entertaining (and a few others) so the HMs were obviously seeing something we weren't privy to. We were limited to a couple of occasions on live feed but that was it.

Renee (on the C5 Saturday Show) said there was so much we didn't see, if they had shown every SB did everyone would understand why she was at the end of her tether.

Unsavoury as they both are/were they did both have a talent as comedians. I can't see people booking tickets to go and see Bear onstage tipping coffee everywhere, talking in a ickle boy voice and mispronouncing simple words... just sayin...

He has been enabled to be this 'person'. His older brother (in the piece about his ex Lillie Lexi, entering the house) referred to him in these words "“It was a vicious, meticulously calculated plan to spitefully damage a young kids hopes and dreams for self-gain and to help flog her clothes.”

Young kid? Really?

As if he really cares in real life, he and his agent knows hate and pantomime villainess gets you far today. If Katie Hopkins can do it then Bear can pull that act to whatever small demographic that suits him best.

The media knows that game and are all good to play along too, he be ghost writing for some publication soon like Helen Wood.....

I also thought Joey Essex could not take that "play dumb" act on to far but now he is on every platform, even "serious" channels.

Once they see a person with a bit of attention, you never know what some of these agents/taste makers can get them to do to seem "legitimate". he be on Sky News talking about roofers and politics next year....

Sorry, i meant he does not care so much about being "hated", he knows what he is doing and playing up to it.

I agree. He revels in being a thorn in the side of everyone - he's not going to get much work out of that with that mindset though.

LOL God help us.

For all his sins Joey Essex seems a likeable, friendly, harmless type whereas Bear has a more malevolent personality and likes to disrupt and antagonise. You can chuck Joey on something like 8/10 cats or This Morning and he'll play the loveable idiot role but I just can't imagine Bear doing the same. My worst nightmare would be him appearing on I'm A Celeb and ruining that too.

Well, even that show is going in the same direction for the last 2 seasons so it is only a matter of time...except those producers will have him on a stricter leash than BB.

I disagree completely.

Joey Essex was a true liar in the first degree who made up his personna acting the buffoon. Therefore we did NOT get to see the true Joey Essex, but a complete character he was well paid to play up to.

Bear, on the otherhand, is actually quite true to himself in many ways when he winds up his competition. He's a modern day Freddie Star type (hated now, but worshipped in the day).

I did say seems lol. My post wasn't really about whether they're being true to themselves, it was about whether they'll get work.

People know what they're gonna get if they hire Joey, the nice but dim act. Bear has a nasty streak that is going to rule him out of getting appearances like that and he doesn't have the wit or intelligence or comedy talent of the other two unpleasant examples Davidson/ Manning. I'm old enough to remember Freddie Starr, though I never found him particularly amusing, but he was still more likeable than Bear and didn't seem to have the nastiness that Bear has.
