Bear has a nasty streak that is going to rule him out of getting appearances like that and he doesn't have the wit or intelligence or comedy talent of the other two unpleasant examples Davidson/ Manning. I'm old enough to remember Freddie Starr, though I never found him particularly amusing, but he was still more likeable than Bear and didn't seem to have the nastiness that Bear has.”

Sorry but I rest my case here, because you really don't get Bear at all. I actually think Bear is far more empathetic than Davidson and Manning.................and yes I judged that in the last couple of weeks. I still believe he was in there to revive the unrevivable. And he did it.

I guess the prospect of being able to vote for him to complete bushtucker trials might draw a few viewers in.

Again you're disagreeing with me about something I never said in the first place lol. I never once mentioned empathy with regards to Manning and Davidson. I mentioned wit, intelligence and comedy talent.

I think I'll call it a day as your responses to me seem to be about things I haven't even said in my posts and it all feels a bit surreal lol

Well goodnight. And no, I wasn't trying to mislead you. I was of the same thing...........how weird is that? Night

I agree with you totally about Joey Essex.

I do think it would be quite interesting to see Bear come up against someone like Keith Lemon or Jimmy Carr. They'd rip him apart verbally.

I dislike both KL and JC but I'd watch them putting SB firmly in his place. David Walliams, Jeremy Paxman and John Humphries would be good too.

Exactly. With Joey, the joke is on him, playing the unwordly, thick "lad". And, from the (very) little I seen if him on tv, he is not disrespectful or belligerent or out to hurt anyone. It's a tried & tested comedy routine - loveable & dense. Think Bernie Winters, Bernard Breslaw, Tim's girlfriend (can't remember her name) in Not Going Out and many more. All playing basically nice characters who mean well but are intellectually challenged.

Stephen Bear tries to make the "joke" against other people with malice and aforethought. He appears to have no redeeming personality features whatsoever.

Since he's come out he's much more one-dimensional and slow-witted than I thought he'd be so I reckon my 8 year old son could rip him apart verbally. Add him to the list.

Yes - I think there were quite a lot that admired his ability to wind people up and thought it was a fantastic act/part piece. They applauded him for this ability.

The thing is it's become clear that it wasn't a very clever, constructed personality/act. He is actually a massive t*at and once you realise that - you realise that he's not actually that clever or funny either. Just a nasty piece of work.

Young kid? Really?”

It sounds just like someting his brother would do if he sold clothes.

Without a bunch of captive victims he's lost. He's now in limbo where people can just snub him and walk away.

Yes I always felt this to the case which was why I found him and BB particularly reprehensible. There was nowhere for the HMs to go. They were trapped physically, mentally and emotionally but Bear was protected by being in BB meaning people couldn't walk away and couldn't treat him as they might outside of it and in the real world.

It might be amusing and compelling even for a viewer to watch this as entertainment but also is something no one in real life would have anything to do with and I can see anybody distancing themselves from him as soon as is possible.

He'd be considered some kind of abuser in the real world but is a hero in the BB world. Still I console myself with the thought that he is the loser in the real world as he is going to be very lonely and always feel unfulfilled.

Well exactly!

If a few people like / appreciate him along the way, all well and good, but his main target is always going to be people who don't like him. He likes getting up people's noses. Just like with Katie Hopkins, if you give her the oxygen, then you are part of the problem.

He doesn't appear to have the intelligence of a Hopkins or the humour of a Clarkson.

Katie Hopkins writes and talks shit, but at least she actually listens to questions and answers them, Bear can't do this, there is **** all he can do but be a WUM

Spot on Penny .
We all assumed his thicko immature acting up in BB was indeed just an act and that once he came out he'd revert to being a possibly decent human able to carry on a conversation and sit still . Some grudgingly thought "He played the game well" .
Nope , he reinforced that he truly is that BB infantile fool in real life, with no logical thinking ability and totally unable to converse with adults without needing to be front and centre talking over everyone .
Oh well , he won't need intelligence or personality to fornicate and waffle incoherent drunk-speak in SOTB etc , so he does have that exciting future if nothing else . No decent show will touch him .

Again , spot on .
We saw how Ricky, Renee and Frankie reacted to him on Sat morning . No more pussy footing around . It was totally clear they deeply despised him and are more than elated not to have to pretend to get along .

He can't even compete with Helen in the intelligence stakes! And as for the idea that he's some kind of comedic genius, oh my...

EDIT: Were they on a show on Saturday? What did I miss?

I had this lovely mental image of them jumping into a couple of taxis and driving off for a Bear free pub lunch, leaving him screaming on the pavement. It must have been bliss to know that they'd never see him again.😝

Yep - I would have loved to have seen them waving goodbye shouting 'we're going to a tea party - sowwy you're not invited cos we're roofless - just sayin - see ya'.

She does need to boost her own celebrity constantly, if not then she is nothing, so no one needs to 'try again'.

You do appear to have a bit of an obsession with Bear though, it's obvious your opinion won't be swayed by the 'Bear haters'.

Bear was alright, he just got a cab down to Charing Cross and started baiting the homeless, in fact that could be his next tv venture, the homeless can't run and they can't hide
