Yes, with a hell of a lot of gratuitous sexuality, nudity and sex talk. That's not accidental.
I did enjoy BB2's famous bath scene with Helen, Amma & Elizabeth.

Gratuitous nudity has always been part of BB, from the beginning.

If we're talking about nudity. The old BB was more like a life drawing. Nudity but rarely if ever erotic in how it was exhibited or portrayed via camera angles, editing or the intent of the nude housemate in question. Funny/embarrassing perhaps but no more.

The new BB borders on pornographic.

So you see, there is difference between pornography and nudity. It isn’t about skin or sex or even voyeurism. It’s about the choices made with regard to context and, essentially, camera angles. The camera is responsible for putting the audience in the position of the objectifier.

Brian has nothing to prove about going on BB again with two wins under his belt.

I think Brian under-estimates the GBP, people watch the bake-off in huge numbers and that's not for the twists and gunging people

I watched the launch show of BB2 again recently and found the way the show was put together quite lovely, almost like 1960s tv it seems now , if you have a spare hour check it out

Wow - how very different it is nowadays. I had forgotten Penny "I'm in the kitchen, I'm out of the kitchen, I'm in the kitchen"

And separate bedrooms. So much I had forgotten.

When did Marcus' accent "thicken". He's nowhere near as broad then as he is now!!

Good way of putting it - and very true.

I watched the show at the time - and have done so twice since - and I may do so again !

It was a great series and although I wanted Helen to win I actually liked most of the housemates - just one I disliked.

I disliked Stuart, but compared to some we have now, he doesn't seem that bad, just a bit of an Alan Partridge style knob

That's the one Pitman - and yes Alan Partridge mark two !

I mention one I disliked but on refection I was not enamoured of Narinder either - but notwithstanding those two it was still a great series imo

It was the first series I watched ( I did not see BB1 ) and remains my favourite for so many reasons - not least of which because the show was allowed to develop naturally.

None of that now of course

I think Aubrey had about 26 brushes for her contouring!

I love how the 'big drama' is someone said he would sleep with 4 out of 5 people and the 5th person got annoyed

I think Paul did as well ! - but as usual he did not realise that the girls were taking the Mickey out of him.

I liked Paul but he was a bit dense !

That's not what I meant, and of course it's not. Thats was what was GREAT about BB back then, when it said cut off, it meant it.

Bubble got a warning for trying to gain information about the outside world.

Bit of a difference from showing them tweets

The amount of outside info they get now is ridiculous.

If I had my way, they'd get none and they wouldn't be able to hear the Elstree chanters either - I'd have Emma doing her pieces to the house in a ****ing soundproof box!

OK Aimee - apologies.

I tend to believe what I read - which is unfortunate at times. I still believed in Father Christmas until I was 35 !

But yes - BB was great then.

It happened over time but there was a dramatic change a few years ago, I think, if I remember rightly, it coincided with C5 taking over and everything had to be proclaimed!!! With 3 exclamation marks!!!
I'm not blaming Marcus, he's doing a job, as asked, and he's great.

on Elizabeths birthday party BB allowed the hot water on, normally it is restricted to one hour in the morning

it was tough then, if you got up late, it was a cold shower

BB2 was a joy to watch. It didn't revolve around controversy or arguments, the HMs on the whole got on and the series was so much fun. And the final itself truly felt like a celebration of the whole series. It was so uplifting.

Brian is a legend.

The show is now a freakshow and like he said, he rarely watches.. he dips in and out if nothing else is on but he obviously isn't a fan.

Yes it was and, as I have said, although I wanted Helen to win the whole series was great.
