Only time I ever buy the likes of OK/Heat/Now etc is at the airport as something to flick through to pass the time during my flight.
By the time I've gone through passport control, I've completely forgotten what I've read and who was featured

I wonder what type of person would buy a magazine because Lewis & Marnie...

I would say the kind of people that have no idea what celebrity means, this years cbb was a real joke... full of hasbeens and wannabes. I daren't think who they will drag in next year. lol
Would I buy a magazine with any of the HM's on the cover...not a chance.

The only time I'd read them is if I'm in the Dr's surgery and they are on the table. I certainly wouldn't buy them, trashy reporting.

What do you belive celebrity means? or do you mean what traditionally being a "celeb" is?

they are both on a TV shows and recieve some kind of direction, and are "celebrated" by a lots of people.....

(I am Not fans of both these guys and that part of the indsutry, but just asking)

There must be plenty of people (even now) or there wouldn't be an industry.

As to 'who', aspirational types who like a bit of gossip?

True, there is also people that enjoy finding out what upper class socialites get up to at various social events every week....but i guess everyone has there weekly guilty pleasures.

Also there are types that buy these things as a one of when boredom and curiosity gets the better of them..

i have always found this strange, even when its A-Listers i really do not understand why people care?
but for some reason 'showmances' do make money, i do not get it at all, like who the hell would possibly care about Lewis and Marnie??? they could be any randoms picked off the street, its bizarre.

I don't buy magazines but my best friend reads all of them - th trashier the better and she's a well-read, well-travelled, cultured clinical psychologist who is the most switched on, intelligent person I know.

She doesn't watch BB or GS though so wouldn't buy specifically for them but she does like to keep abreast of the zelebrity world.

I'm not sure there's a type. Just some like those mags, some don't. No point me reading them - I wouldn't know who most of the celebs were. Lewnie and the like are a curiosity to some.

I used to be partial to those My Toothless Husband Ran Off With My Psychic's Mum's Cousin From The Chip Shop true story mags though but my dentist has gone posh so have upgraded their waiting room material so haven't read a magazine in years.

They are quite addictive though. I like them because they make me feel better about my life.
