What we'd to have him back... A guy who loves and knows corrie inside out and wrote Todd's coming out so well. If only the writers were as good as him now, instead we have Jonathan 'bobbin' Harvey.

May come to your surprise but Jonathan wrote that scene.

One forum wasn't happy about that episode. I guess everything looks better in hindsight.

That forum is such an interesting red, Belli! The same conclusions being drawn about Corrie back then as people make today!

Naturally viewers are harsh on Corrie because they judge it on past glories and standards which are infeasible today. For a show expected to produce six episodes per week next year, quality isn't going to be high on the agenda.

I agree with the poster who said Les was a lazy plot device. It's the case with stupid characters today.........they only ever wheel out Kirky so he can make a silly remark.

Corrie's scriptwriting team was better balanced then as it is today. Better characterisation and more importantly better characters.
