One of the things I've noticed about supermarket shopping is how the price of supermarket oranges is a very clear indication of the quality of the product.

I've bought oranges at £1.25 for around 5,6 or sometimes even 7, but have found there to be a huge difference between the peelability and the texture of these against that of the pricier, bigger ones at around £.1.75. Granted, the cheaper ones are usually very juicy, but the difficulty in peeling these means you tend to get the juice all over your hands and everywhere else when trying to peel them, whilst the bigger oranges are more 'accessible' due mainly to the superior design of the dearer ones. Most of these were bought at Morrisons, but I'm sure the same holds good at every other supermarket, too.
