It's 2016 and there's still moaning over foreign acts in talent shows? Seriously? This got dull a few days after Attraction won BGT.
It it results in higher standard of acts, then I'm for it. It's called a TV talent show, not a UK national pride show (there are plenty of other places where that would be appropriate).
If people prefer watching a show full of overseas talent then fair enough, but not for me. I want to see UK talent having the chance to make progress, and other countries have their own version of the show anyway.

Well, if European acts take the place of British acts, then it's because the British ones aren't as talented as they should be for such a show.
You'd be surprised to find out how many artists more talented than the British ones who have achieved WW success are in other European or non-European countries; they just don't get a chance of being known worldwide because record companies can't afford to promote them properly.
In arts, in general, talent should prevail no matter what the nationality. Why would it make you feel better if a British act won the XF when you know there are a lot more talented singers out there? Wouldn't you feel prouder if a British act won because he/she was better than the rest of his/her opponents?

That's true, but if an act like, let's say, 1D wins the XF, they'll be propelled worldwide and we'll all have to suffer because of it, including the much more talented singers that win the national versions of the XF and never make it out of their own country because of reasons that have nothing to do with music. It's a bit unfair, don't you think? Why should someone like Jedward or 1D or Wagner have more chances than someone like that girl, Saara?

You want your XF acts to become famous worldwide afterwards, which means you ask us, other European countries, to buy their music, but we shouldn't have the right, God forbid, to have representatives on your show!

If you want XF to be a local show, then tell Simon and Louis to stop shouting all the time "We want someone who can sell records all over the world!". You can't expect Europe to just be your milking cow?! Well, I guess you can and you do, but that's no surprise and I'll stop there.

If The X Factor Australia can have Reece Mastin and Dami Im, then why can't the UK have Saara?
