In 2014, it was the Waltzathon. In 2015, it was the Quickstepathon. What will 2016 bring?

(I seem to recall you need to reply to a thread with a poll before the poll shows up. If I'm wrong, then this post is entirely pointless.)

I like the idea of a hot mess Paso Doble-a-thon with capes flying and everyone stalking round the floor

But I voted for a Viennese Waltz-a-thon this year.

These athon always end up make me boils with anger ...just because they're always there to serve some kind of agenda lol and it always turn out that my favorites end up being screw up by this. Never fails.

To answer the op question, yes I'm sure we'll have another one this year.

I think a VW-athon would be lovely.

The ballroom-a-thons do give the male clebs a disadvantage. Party latin gives a more even playing field
A VW show dance would with the floor covered with all the pros spinning would be lovely

On the other hand, a VW with the majority of the remaining celeb contestants being male could be a disaster - I avoid the dancefloor like the plague at social dances when a VW is going on for fear of there being lots of people who don't know what they're doing (and I'm not confident enough myself to keep going for the full song!)

I feel like if they can navigate a quickstepathon then a VWathon would be fine. There's very few steps compared to the other ballroom dances so it's much easier to judge who are the better contestants.

Charlstonathon. I want to see them all having to hold those rictus grins for as long as it takes.

Well yeah, I'm feeling mean too. So a samba-athon would be interesting. I actually think a ballroom tango-athon sounds fairly innocuous but could be quite challenging as some of them don't dance many basic 'get round room' steps in their usual routines. It's also a dance where we see some of the biggest disparity in technique.

There were only two male celebs left for the Quickstepathon - Jay and Peter. Jay did really well and had no problems controlling their space (so to speak, no idea what propah dance terminology would be ..), Peter looked like a rabbit caught in the headlights ....

The VW-a-thon in series 7 was a bit messy mainly due to Brian and his elbows.

Went for a VW-athon...1) because its my favourite and would look stunning, 2) just to hear Tess try and get her teeth around announcing it!!!
