Seems he's quit the show in favour of remaining on Dancing With The Stars. Thoughts?

Not surprised really. DWTS pays more, but that's about all it does have going for it. I'd understand all our Strictly people defecting it was any good, but it's often quite hysterically bad. More often than not in fact.

Didn't we know this already?

I think we all understood that Len had voted in favour of the higher salary from DWTS, I didn't think there was any question about that

higher salary and living in a warmer climate for a few months a year

I'm unsure that's strictly true (no pun intended) since there's rumours he's quitting DWTS

If he stays with DWTS then he can avoid most of the to-ing and fro-ing between the UK and USA . He can rent somewhere for a few months and just relax more in a warmer clime .
Good luck to him .🍀

Agreed.
The commuting must be really hard going.
He is 70 ffs and has survived cancer.
I'm only surprised he kept it up as long as he did.

I think Strictly is the better show, but DWTS has a higher salary going for it.

I am sure he is not short of cash but he is not getting any younger so can see that he might want to build up a retirement fund. And of course if he stays in the US for a longer period then the HMRC might not get their hands on his earnings there.

On the subject of his DWTS salary, there were reports circulating that they offered him a £3.3m deal to return. No idea if that's for one series or for several, or if it's even true, but seeing as he previously quit the US show and said if he had to choose, he'd always choose Strictly, I can believe it. Good for him.

The US has a tax system as well!
