Looking at the pattern with which the X Factor's viewers continue to drop, would it have been more beneficial to put the X Factor on rest for a few years before bringing it back?

Honestly, had it been up to me, I would have put the show on rest for one or two years following season 11 in 2014, and returned in 2016 or 2017, with Simon Cowell, Mel B, Rita Ora, and possibly Louis Tomlinson or MIKA as a fourth judge. What do you guys think?

I'm not sure why they've brought back Sharon and Nicole? The golden era was Simon, Louis, Cheryl and Dannii. Sharon was before that, and Nicole after.
