Not saying the Goodey clan were innocent but JAde screaming that Shilpa was a "fake" did not deserve the flak it received. Shilpa did not come across as sincere in any shape or form.”
I watched it recently and Shilpa went out of her way to say Jade wasn't racist. If anything it was Jermaine pushing that angle. Coupled of course with the press. Jade did bully her though -- just like she did with Sophie(?) the first time she went in the house.
The stuff with the hands was Danielle and Jo.
Also, I do think Shilpa was sincere. She was raised to behave that way when in the company of others. Much like an English lady would have been 50-60 years ago. I think she was misunderstood by a lot of people. She certainly has a way about her but I don't think it was insincere or snobbish/superior.
