Hope everyone has had a good Bank Holiday weekend, and that you've been relatively lucky weatherwise.

Tonight, we are back to business. Our beloved show is back.

Here is where we are before tonight:

Spoiler
Social Services spoke to Honey and Billy stating Jay can no longer live with them. Jay has been thrown out due to his current behaviour and was caught stealing from the savings pot. Jay and Ben are planning to get revenge on Paul's murderers and set up sticks together.
Sylvie has been added stress on Tina and Sonia's relationship. Sylvie was left alone while Tina went to work, and was hiding behind the indoor bar in their house. Sonia found Sylvie alone and was bitten by her. Bex then stated to her Mum that she needs to stop protecting Tina from Sylvie and that there needs to be the right help for her, as it's too much to care for someone with dementia.
Ian attempted to get a credit card in Lucy's name to solve their money woes. Stephen took the blame for gaining the credit card at first causing issues with Lauren and Jayne. Ian later confessed and put Stephen in charge. The episode ended with Kyle calling Ian stating a "Jimmy" was angry about the kitchen equipment. We have the return of evil Stephen.

Oh and Bex, Louise and Man-Bun had relationship dramas but who cares about those

And tonight's spoilers are:

Spoiler
Louise grows suspicious over Ben's behaviour and forces him to admit that he and Jay have been looking for Paul's killers. Ben assures Louise and Courtney that they just want to scare the culprits, but Louise isn't convinced and brings Les into the situation in the hope that he can help.

Later, Ben agrees to forget the revenge plan after a heartfelt plea from Les and Louise. However, when Louise and Ben return home, they find Jay waiting for Ben with the address of Paul's killers. Louise is horrified when Ben goes back on his word by leaving with Jay.

Meanwhile, with the financial difficulties at the restaurant getting worse, Steven is frustrated when Lauren buys a new laptop to help her pitch for new business from Belinda.

I have also added a poll to the post, on how are you finding the show in the last few months. I'm finding middling to good - there has been shining beacons such as the powerhouse performances from Lin Blakley and Roger Sloan as their portrayal of grieving grandparents Pam and Les with Paul's death. Linda Marlowe's underrated performance as dementia sufferer Sylvie and of course Jamie Borthwick's strong delivery with Jay's downward spiral. There is room for improvement - ie the Shakil and Bex drama-rama, Babe getting away with it again and the Carter's forgiving her, plus the other crap such as the Salsa school and don't get me started about how dire June was. I hope autumn is better.

Remember, 8-00PM on BBC1, 10-00PM on Watch or I-Player after 8-30PM. Thank you and hope you enjoy

Other than Paul's death everything has been poor.

Thanks for the thread.

Poor. It's had a few moments of decency, but little more than that.

Thanks!

The show has just been treading water the past few months. It needs some life injecting into it.

I am hoping the show starts picking up soon as we head into September. What is Steven playing at? I knew he would go back to his devious ways as a leopard doesn't change its spots but why?

As for the other SL, setting up for

Spoiler
Mitchell Week next week
