Hi
I am thinking of getting a Harmony Remote to use with my Foxsat HDR. Just wondering if anyone one had any recommendations. Also is there any noticeable uptick in response times of the HDR Ideally it would also have to run the TV, a Philips DVD/SACD home theatre system, a DVD recorder and if possible a Roku 3 and WD tv media player. I have read that the Touch runs on rechargeable batteries which cannot be replaced so you have to junk the remote when the battery dies. Is this the case for all Harmony remotes using rechargeable batteries?
Cheers

Hi.

I have a Harmony 650. My set up is similar to yours and it works very well. Bear in mind you need a windows PC to set it up. It uses four AA batteries, I use rechargables. Let me know if you want any more information.

Hi
Cheers for getting back to me. I got a Harmony 650 a couple of days ago just waiting for Sky to end so i can reconnect my Foxsat. Are you running yours with a Roku? If so is it running ok?
Cheers

Odd- my Harmony 650 only uses 2 AA batteries. I also use rechargeables. My previous Logitech remote also had a fixed rechargable battery which was a pain as not only did you have to throw the whole thing away when it died but you couldn't use it whilst it was recharging.

Hi

I have a NowTV box (which is essentially a Roku 3) and that works fine. I have a Foxsat HDR and the Harmony works better than the original remote! Some people have trouble setting up the Harmony, but once it's done it works a treat. If you have any problems let me know, or visit the Harmony forums.

ps As i can't even count the number of batteries in my remote maybe I'm not the best person to ask for advice!!!!!!

Oops! Of course it only has 2 batteries. I have two Harmony remotes and I change the batteries at the same time - hence 4 batteries (that's my excuse, anyway!)
