They are two revolting people but out of those two I prefer Bear and WOW [ha ha] that's saying something because he's a vile little toe-rag and a knob.

Bear is relentlessly annoying, Helen is much nastier but only part-time, she lets you breathe

I prefer Bear, but I really prefer if we just lock them in a room together and chuck away the key

As much as I don't like Bear, there's no way he's worse than Helen.

Helen was filled with hate. Just a spiteful, vicious person. The word 'bully' is thrown around a lot in terms of BB but with Helen it was appropriate.

Don't like either, but Helen was the nastier person.

I disagree. Why is it so many of the housemates from her series are still in touch with her?
And its the ones who werent even in her 'clique', Christopher the Wasp, the other Chris, even that Matthew has said he prefers Helen to Toyah now or whatever her name was.
Helen can be a real bitch, but i just do not think she is the 'bully' sensitive souls seem to make her out to be.
i would rather see a series with her than bloody Bear again!

Helen was nastier but she didn't completely dominate people and allowed other housemates to shine.
Bear completely ruined most of the other housemates experience

Helen was awful but it was her true personality.

Bear was nasty by design.

Both dreadful. They differ in their nastiness only in that Helen's came from a place of heat where Bear's nastiness is cold. Unlike Helen who displayed an angry, passion driven viciousness, Bear had a calculated, unemotional, lack of empathy. God knows which is worse and which most deserving of sympathy. Two tragic creatures that I guess are equally pathetic in their own ways.

Interesting. I see it completely the other way around. Helen seething with inner anger and Bear empty of any emotion.

I agree with both, neither deserved to win!

I don't like either of them!!!!!

IF Helen and knob-Bear were in the same house, in competition with each-other, do you think they would :

a) pally up

because the only alternative would be to :

b) destroy each-other

??

(I'm asking with the prospect of All Stars Gold CBB crap, whatever it is, maybe, possibly could be happening, next January.)

I only say Helen Woods beacuse she is 80% real one, not a work of an agency project. And despite te nasty id to her, she knew whentoo stop. But she is the one that may have got me more angry than any other peson on a TV show of this nature.

I don't think they would pally up for long as you put it because he would drive her mad. They would both want to be top dog!

Yes this is the difference I'd say. Helen exploded with rage and nastiness and was only saved in her series because but of her immunity but she actually recognised that as she said she'd have been first out otherwise. Helen had some humility and understanding of herself and she did have some humanity and was immensely loyal to those that were her friends even if she has just moved onto the next lot

Bear lacks any humility or humanity and would have pimped out his Grandma to win that show, He didn't actually have Helen's nasty tongue or really her outbursts but he was thoroughly vindictive and nasty to the core.

I would sum up by saying Helen was explosive but Bear was poisonous. Helen wins because explosive is at least human and allows you to have some human relationships but poisonous means no redeeming features whatsoever.

Helen Wood.

I sort of understand the hate Helen gets as she was nasty but I can't help but feel a lot of people overexaggerate how bad she really was. She's nowhere near the worst human being ever to enter through those doors (Conor and Dennis hello). Her only crime is that she's just a loud-mouth cow who tries too hard to be a bitch, but at least she showed a human side and remorse for some of her actions. I think she's just such a damaged person and she often has a good point when in an argument but the way she put her points across in a foul manner diminished any point she had.

I don't really care about what the other housemates think, to be honest. I'm judging based on what I saw in the house.. which was a horrid person.

And we also saw her again in last year's series and she hadn't changed much at all.

That's a tough question. Personally I think I could get on better with Helen than Bear, but since I didn't appreciate a lot of their behaviour, I'd be more worried about crossing Helen as she's smarter and way more vindictive.
There's something incredibly unintimidating about Bear, I just kind of feel sorry for him needing so much attention.

Bear amused me at times. Wood didn't as far as I remember.
