Michael Parr does have the air of an actor biding his time and seeing out the last of his contract. The change from Ross being one of the key players in 2015 to virtual background artist in 2016 is astonishing and not what most fans want.

He's either leaving or annoyed the new boss, or both

I know they're probably reacting to the silly overuse of Ross last year, but I wish they'd give him something really good to do, he's so brilliant. But maybe one thing this time, not three at the same time.

I don't think Ross is leaving, some have suggested he'll be off screen for quite a few weeks to climb up some mountain somewhere. Although his twitter feed suggests he's twiddling his thumbs re: filming, the same can be said of Anthony Quinlan and Joey Gill, going by twitter. They all seem to be on holiday, having haircuts, with family, at clubs and music festivals. So i think they are all, or have taken time off and just waiting their turn in the storyline queue.

Well, that's what I'm telling myself (as each eppy goes by without a sight of any of them ) just to keep myself SANE.

He might still turn out to be Declan's. The dates for him being Ross's have never added up. Born not premature in early June 2015 but supposedly conceived during a shag in a chop shop that didn't exist until November 2014

Who am I kidding the only reason they made Charity preggers when we should have been enjoying 12 blisfull Charity free months was to make drama for Debbie and Ross. Who cares if the dates don't make sense (said Kate Oates to her writing team)

The Barton boys are without a doubt my favourite thing about Emmerdale so I tell myself the same thing.

Hollys storyline has turned out to be much more interesting than I thought it would be.

I don't think she has recovered enough to start afresh somewhere else on her own so I think the likelihood is that she will either be killed off or Moira will leave with her

The NuBartons are definitely some of my favourite characters and they have a lot of potential storylines, but the new producer doesn't seem to want to give them the light of day, which is a shame.

Well this being a soap, I think her sudden amazing photographic genius () will be spotted by some rich London patron who will indeed whisk her off to London to be the next David Bailey.

Hope so anyway, it would be a bit unfair if Moira had to leave as well, especially as others have said Holly was only brought back on a 6 month contract.

Hasn't she always been a photographer? I remember Moira going to see one of her exhibitions in London many moons ago or was she an Artist?

Just checked ED Wikia and apparently the 18 year old Holly enrolled at Art college soon after the Bartons arrived and persuaded Lisa to pose as a life model for her art class. I must have blocked that memory from my mind.

But she soon got expelled from the college when she started on the drugs and ended up working in the factory for a while. When she eventually left in 2012 she'd apparently been offered "a job in Design" in London, (which seems somewhat unlikely, but hey ho).

If that the case the Sun will claim like they did yesterday with Holly/Sophie and Andy leave there is a crisis at Emmerdale, Holly is a major character that Emmerdale can't do without according to them.

Oo dear, think they're overstating the case a bit there. Maybe Andy Sugden leaving ED is like the ravens leaving the Tower of London, it's an omen of looming disaster.

The Mirror stated a legend was leaving ED.

I think most people assumed it must be a long standing Dingle, Diane or even Pollard until I read it was Holly Barton - hardly a legend is she but she was starting to grow on me a bit

The 'legend' they were (somewhat deludely) referring to was Kelvin Fletcher, not Sophie Powles.
