I think Phelan and Alex would be great friends and I didn't see him take advantage of him at all.

Just because you have Downs it doesnt necessarily make you vulnerable, I have a cousin with downs, she doesnt come across the brightest button, but she and most of them have there heads screwed on

It's a good story, but Phelan is only looking after Phelan. Basically to scam Eileen and Jason. It's gonna happen, we all know it and it's nothing to do with Alex or his learning disability.
He's a good actor because most people dislike his character. I hope a good ending comes with Jason, and Tim, being hero's and saving Eileens face, much as I dislike her!
