Sarah Ellen. Plays Madison Robinson - daughter of legends Scott n Charlene. Pretty girl but utterly dreadful. Cannot act AT ALL. She really is an embarrassment to the show. Luckily she's not sticking around. What a wasted opportunity to get a good actress playing such a potentially important character.

In terms of family castings, Jai & Nikhill Sharma in Emmerdale. They are brothers and yet I don't think they share even the slightest resembelence to one another.

Jake Wood and Scott Maslen look nothing like each other.

The MacDonald twins - they look nothing alike!

Kathy Beale (61) - supposed to be Ian Beale's (48) mother but they look the same age!

I was just going to post Sarah Harding too. I've never seen a worse performance on a soap.

I feel a bit mean because I've suggested her before for 'worsts', but she was just so spectacularly bad...

Denise Van Outen's character on EE was utterly pointless, possibly one of the worst characters in recent history.

The Holly Barton actress on ED's voice grates me like nails on a chalkboard.

Yes! The actor in general from what I'd seen (basically material from last year only) wasn't bad but the aging was just hilarious and weird. Especially when sharing scenes with Jett.

There is nothing about her that suggests she is meant to be related to Babe's sister and Shirley and Tina's mother. Annette Badland is far more realistic to be playing Linda Henry's mother

I don't think that's a example of bad casting. Plenty of siblings look nothing alike.

Bad castings for me are bad actors but I think Jake and Scott are believable as brothers. Jake is a better actor than Scott though.

It's probably an unpopular opinion but I'd say Shayne Ward as Aidan. I guess he's supposed to be the Street's resident heartthrob but I just find him really gormless looking and he has no charisma whatsoever.

I agree. I gave Shayne an easy ride when he was first cast. But nearly a year on, i have come to the conclusion he isn't that fantastic and he lacks major charisma. But that's the problem when you hire people with next to no experience as his past credits were musical theatre. Which is an entirely different medium to a soap opera.

I agree with you both too. He's a complete non-entity for me.

Kal on Corrie was all wrong for a personal trainer. And Callum was the least convincing bad boy I think I've ever seen.

There have been loads of bad actors of course who definitely shouldn't have been cast but, for this thread, those two stand out for me as I think, in the right roles, they could have been OK.

Actually I've just remembered the gang that were tormenting Liam in Eastenders. The leader Kane was about as threatening as the leads in West side story

I must add I adore west side story as a musical though

One of the Julies from Bad Girls (Kika Mirylees) was cast as Gary Hobbs's mother in EastEnder.

The sesame street gang also the guy looked about 40 years old.
