Well it did something in the UK chart-wise.

Debuted at #52 on the iTunes chart on the 2nd of September and lasted two whole days before disappearing.

Compare that to the superior "Living Without You" which spent 11 days on the chart and at least faded naturally rather than just vanishing.

Whilst 'Closer Than Close' is garage the crossover hit that really seemed to pave the way more for the 2 Step style of UK Garage is Tina Moore 'Never Gonna Let You Go' in 1997 (although like Rosie Gaines she was an American artist).

From UK artists you had smaller top 40 hits from the Dreem Teem ('The Theme' in 1997) and MJ Cole ('Sincere' in 1998). And the Shanks and Bigfoot producers themselves even had a top 20 hit in 1998 as Doolally with 'Straight From The Heart', which they then re-released after 'Sweet Like Chocolate' was a success.

And then we also had the speed garage style popular around 1996-1998 which yielded various crossover hits.

A poster on the Official Chart Company website message section said her song didn't reach the top 200 singles chart.

I didn't even know singles had a top 200 chart!

I thought it stopped after 100! You learn something new every day.

I didn't know this until last year, from what I could see then it just seemed to be full of album tracks and older singles. In Australia I think their chart goes to 300 or something like that because when Geri Halliwell's "comeback" single flopped a couple of years ago it actually made something like 295 there

Great to see the musical genius that is Tulisa whatsherface back.

I can now put away my Grimes, Chvrches and 1975 records and listen to this pop gem.

I think she should do a duet with Foals.

Perhaps the Yeah Yeah Yeahs can reform, sack Karen O, and replace her with Tulisa. A guy can dream...
