I was not offering to post anything in relation to the pairings. I will not know which professionals do not have partners unless I read it on here.

What I was hoping was that anyone who is a mole could post in another thread to explain that "Pro X and Pro Y" were not allocated partners. That way my girlfriend and I can try and predict the pairings before the night of the launch show using the knowledge of which two professionals are sitting out, but not knowing to whom the other fifteen professionals have been allocated.

If that information was to be posted in this thread, then in order to read it there is a chance I will see the confirmed pairings, which is not what I want.

It is just because it has not yet been confirmed which professionals will not get partners that i was asking; but if it can't be done or would cause issues, then forget it.

Neil will be happy to do choreography and stand in in case of injury but apparently Chloe is spitting feathers as she gave up her amateur status for Strictly and then doesn't have a partner.

It does seem a little unfair doesn't it?

But surely that will have been made clear to her at the time of signing up? If not that she was definitely without a partner but at least that she was one of the pros in the balance? I presume that Neil signed up on that basis and that for AJ and Chloe it was left open, to be confirmed either way once it was confirmed whether the 15th celeb was male or female. So I'd be surprised if she hadn't been able to make an informed decision

Not according to Backstageone - according to them the pros were told after signing who was the spare.

I don't know how the timescale works from the BBC point of view. AJ and Chloe won Blackpool at amateur and immediately turned pro, I understand, on the assumption that they would both be allocated celebrities.
It's a bit embarrassing for Chloe to be just doing group dances and act as a reserve when AJ will be dancing in the main show.

Anton is so popular with the public and I don't think it would go down well if he was dropped.

If they were really serious about getting Anton or Brendan to take over from Len, then this year would have been a good year to test them out on ITT and small stints on the main Strictly show talking about the performances. (Don't particularly want either of them to do the job, as I think there are far better and more imaginative options, but career planning and all that!)

Re Chloe and Neil: Neil is already professional and so his status is unchanged. I feel a bit sorry for Chloe but she knew it was a risk. Tbh, I am mystified as to why Neil would be happy to do such a low key job, given that as an ex Word Champion he must have lots of other options and he probably had to put other engagements on ice whilst he was waiting for confirmation of his role on Strictly. Unless of course, he specifically signed up to do the choreography because that is what he enjoys (as opposed to that being the best offer he could get) because it is quite an influential role. Also I guess it gives him more time to do other things like lectures, adjudication and continuing his teaching exams.
