I am loving Paddy been back

I think it was supposed to balance out "dark" scenes from yesterday's episode. I hope it gets a little more serious in future as Chrissie and Robert come to blows but a little light relief is welcome.
A little restraint wouldn't go amiss however.

It was all over for Emmerdale as soon as the fresh-from-Hollyoaks producer was announced.

So sad that we're about to experience Stuart Blackburn all over again. Not sure I can hold on this time... Might give up for a few years until the next producer is announced.

I don't know what it was! I didn't laugh once, not a titter. It just all seemed mad, like it was made by people on drugs.

Afraid it just reminded me exactly of Hollyoaks when it went down the toilet.

I saw a worrying amount of SB parallels!

Aww cyril, I'm so disappointed. We usually seem to laugh at most of the same things.

I thought drunken Secret Squirrel Bernice was laugh out loud funny - the way she ruined her cleverly concocted plan to get Chrissie drunkby ending up plastered herself. And when she finally came out with "Why did you lie about Andy? Oops, did I say that out loud?" I was ROFL.
Sam Giles is just sublime and so underrated.

I even loved Paddeh and HotPierce bitch slapping each other.

I've never watched Hollyoaks so have no parallels to draw from

I have however been disappointed a lot with Emmerdale over the past half a year so this was an improvement on that still, however silly, and Sam Giles is just fantastic.

Hated the Pierce and Paddy fight though, one stupud thing happening in an episode is enough.

It's strange when you're out of step, innit! I know we often giggle at the same things.

Sammi Giles is brilliant, she really is, but I didn't laugh tonight.

And I don't really like Paddy being back, I'd rather Rhona just kept getting it on with Hot Pierce.

The whole epi was just weird. That stuff with Lachlan and Liv mocking Chrissie, then Lawrence and Liv suddenly playing cricket? It didn't even make sense, like they couldn't even be bothered. I usually try to find something positive to say, but I'm drawing a big fat blank tonight.

Lol, I think you just have to be in the mood sometimes. It probably helped that I was as far into a bottle of wine as Secret Squirrel Bernice at the time.

It was insulting juvenile tripe.

I didn't really enjoy Paddy but apart from that it was ok. I am surprised Paddy had pulled Rhona in the first place as she is quite good looking and her new boyfriend is quite good looking.

Pierce has rather sharp features

I loved the Chrissie/Bernice scenes, I thought they were genuinely hilarious albeit ludicrous. I didn't mind Paddy that much either.
Had a bit of a chuckle at Larry 's tumble too and Liv's Chrissie impression was superb

he worked at corrie for a lot longer than he worked at Hollyoaks.

Life doesn't work as superficially as that. And to be superficial, I don't see anything attractive about Pierce.

After tonight I'm very optimistic.

In life people can be superficial, a lot of people judge people on looks and there was a psychological experiment where they showed pictures of men and women to people and got them to guess the couples based on attractiveness and most people got it right as people tend to be with people about the same attractiveness as them. Personally Pierce isn't my type but they look good together. In personality as well Paddy seems quite annoying and immature and Rhona seems more mature than him.

I did when he was first announced.

So far his work hasn't impressed, and his upcoming work sounds horrific. Just more affairs and one night stands. No imagination, no creativity, just outlandish plots to make it seem so. See Hollyoaks.

To be honest, if it's got to the point where I have to get a bit sozzled to be able to enjoy ED, I think I'm in trouble. I can't afford that much booze.
