Eurosport player not working on connected tvs.
My tv included the Eurosport player app. I entered my email address to take out a subscription, the screen then said 'check your email for instructions on how to complete and activate your subscription'. Opened the email which said "Once your transaction has been validated you will have immediate access to Eurosport Player on your connected TV". I set up the subscription and payment. the player is now working on my pc and my account shows the tv as a registered device. However when I tried to log in on the tv I got an apology screen with a message that 'due to technical reasons we would like to inform you that Eurosport player has been suspended on this platform'. Further investigation on the website turned up a statement (posted on August 23rd) that 'due to technical reasons Eurosport player has been suspended on connected tvs, XBox and Windows phone'. It doesn't say whether this suspension is temporary or whether the player is permanently discontinued on these devices.
Needless to say i'm pretty pissed off that I was able to sign up via my tv, only to discover that my tv is not actually supported by the app! Have sent a complaint email and am also wondering whether this would be sufficient reason for cancellation of my account without penalty? |

It may very well be, but that's not the point. The point is that it's a bit naughty for them to be advertising it as available on your connected tv if you only find out AFTER you've subscribed that it's not!
