Just how Famous do you have to be to be on CBB ?

I can't imagine a CBB without reality TV "stars" again - they're incredibly cheap, they have big social media followings and are relevant to much of the younger audience. Plus, most of them do as they are told, which keeps producers happy. They're not entertaining to most of us, true, but then it seems increasingly as the producers don't care about that!

For those predicting YouTubers, if we did get one, it would be someone that isn't relevant at all. The equivalent of Heavy D in the YouTube world. Nobody with over a million subscribers would touch CBB with a bargepole, unless they truly wanted the actual experience of the show. They can make far more money and still control their own image making their own videos, releasing books, product lines etc.

Anyway...

Who have we had who was an early boot from The Apprentice? We had Luisa (runner up in her series), Saira (runner up in her series), Katie Hopkins (quit in the semi final in her series) and James (got to week 8 out of 12, so made it over the halfway point). Have I forgotten someone?

I don't agree with your use of the word 'relevant'

what about 'current', as Heavy D used about himself, though some argue he should have left out the letters r, r and e ?

He was a current footballer back then in 1988. Nowadays, the only footballer I've got a chance with at my age is Rooney

As long as you have a pulse I think.

I would suggest to Ch5 that they should try a combination of CBB with the civilian series, but I think they started that over the last couple of series.

I think I was mixing up James with the other oddball dresser, Robert in the same series of Apprentice, who got fired in week 2 for refusing to be Project Manager for a clothing task - when he was in Fashion.

I had a crush on Julie Andrews when I was a teenager and I watched Sound Of Music 57 times + Mary Poppins 12 times.

So I am ready of the call

I would add bit part soap actors, some presenters of loose woman and pop group memebers of who not many people over the age of 35 would know to that relevvant people list.

You basically have to go on a reality show and have an agent then go though a game of spin the bottle to determine if you're going into "Civilian" or Celeb.

and the usa version dancing with stars... the disgraced usa swimmer is named... a celeb?

all celeb means is someone who has been in the media more than you.

Lochte? Holding a dozen Olympic medals (5 gold), numerous World Championship medals and a former world record holder he probably qualifies as a celeb although his biggest press is probably the "robbery in Rio".

Pah! I have been in a lift with Sam Fox who is a clearly a celebrity (CBB 2016) and may even have sold more records than Marc Almond (at least I bet she says so). Incidentally Touch Me was No 1 in seven countries while Tainted Love only managed a measly six!

PS Andy West wasn't there then either

Sam would say she is more talented than Marc, as hers was an original song, though she didn't write it herself, but then neither did Diana Ross write her own songs

Would I qualify for Celeb BB - I did backing vocals as part of a primary school choir for an ameatur Christian singer in 1996 when I was 10. I've stood in two elections for Labour and improved the vote twice, so surely I'm famous?! Add to the fact, I'm in the paper occasionally for the community work I do
