Yup, especially in the wife department....He should have got with Aaron when he had the chance, he'd be much better off.

I wouldn't be surprised if he either died in the upcoming disaster, or Emma will kill him and pin the blame on either Cain or Moira.

My thoughts exactly. James isn't nearly my favorite character and has been really gross lately simpering after Moira, but I love the Barton family and am sad to see them lose a piece of that. But it will definitely be an interesting storyline and interesting to see how that shakes things up for Ross/Pete/Finn.

Oh well I like the Barton's so this could sadly mean the end of Crazy Emma too. Although I hope not. I would be very surprised she isn't involved and Cain will no doubt tie him up somewhere

Bill Ward hasn't been given a lot to do which is a shame.

I approve if this also mean more Ross though

This will prevent me from going back to Emmerdale full time any time soon. And the evident splitting-up of Dan & Kerry is hardly progress. They kept a little credibility in the show in view of their support and reaction to Ruby's death.

I know, it seems he divulged a secret himself then said he wished the media had kept it a secret!

It seems that James will follow Corrie Charlie Stubbs in meeting a sticky end!

Spoiler
I think his death could arise in a scene where he is helping Holly escape drug-dealer Dean unsuccessfully, whereupon Holly leaves in disgrace.

Is that legitimate? I'm surprised it hasn't reached digital spy yet.

Ah, damn. It would've been so good as a secret as well.

I'm surprised this Dan person hasn't been told to stop by ED.

Excellent news. He's been an absolutely useless character from day 1. Why bother signing up a biggish soap name like Bill Ward and giving him such a DUD character to work with?

Emma will probably bump him off and with any luck, she'll get away with it scot-free.

I'm just hoping that Gillian Kearney sticks around, because it's looking unlikely now.”

To be fair she has always had a shelf life, as interesting as she is, she was always going to go down the "unhinged" route,

This would of been a nice twist for us to not know until it aired. But then I think we have been spoiled too much by Tess and Andy's shock departures.

I don't think he'd be missed. I expected him to be killed off in the helicopter disaster last year. I won't miss him picking his fingernails in every scene either

It will be interesting to see how Ross reacts, he never really had a bond with his dad. However they may have a nice moment or something before he dies.

He has nothing to do with Emmerdale. He's just a showbiz hack.

Yes, but surely ED's Press Dept could 'blacklist' or something and maybe other shows he's spoiled (or even ITV) could do the same? It would at least make life more difficult for him.

Yet another beyond tedious 'whodunit'. Yawn.

I got a feeling it will be "high as a kite" Holly!

Is it really going to be a murder mystery?

The only two I could see killing James would be Emma or Cain and if it were Cain I'd probably stop watching the show.

That's a really interesting idea, could blow the Bartons apart. Would make great drama.

It better not be Cain. He thought better of it when he considered offing Robert. I don't t want to see him go down that route. I wonder if Holly's s involved and Cain helps her escape, thus leading to reconciliation with a grateful Moira, and yet another character on the run? I can't be bothered with these whodunnits though. It would make much more sense, and be a good deal more interesting for us to see Emma do it, and cope with the aftermath.
