Where did they all come from? Are they some sort of twitchy-curtain brigade? Do they all have some sort of bailiff alarm goes off, like the BatPhone?
They're an anti bailiff group.

Shame they all looked like rejects from Jeremy Kyle.

The one with the couple could have done with their help.

The bailiffs were bordering on extortion there.

I didn't know you could make a financial claim against a former partner. Would you just need receipts that you paid for things that they now have?

I get that but how did they all suddenly appear? How did they know?

As anothet poster said, an "anti-bailiff group" is laughable. A bit like people who are "anti-Police", until they need help.

LOL I don't think the Confederate flag on the roof of the house is going to impress these bailiffs.

She was playing on being ill and he looks like a right gimp.

I assume they live close by and also we don't know how long it was because of the edits. The police were there quick too.

I doubt they will ever need a bailiff as they'll never have any money to be owed.

What happened to Janet's case I couldn't read it in time.

I'm please they paid what they said they would, but I was hoping the case would be found in their favour as the Law firm sounded dodgy.

I'm glad the aggressive bloke with the anti bailiff group had to pay up in the end.

Janet's was paid within four days of the original visit.

I know it's terrible but a) You'd think that English was they South African guys second language, I can barely understand a word he says b) I love when debtors rightly or wrongly fight back against those two pairings of bailiffs as they're so arrogant. They'd wind me up if they were infront of me. McCracken is one of the most patronising people I have ever seen on TV!

I do think that if you spoke to them calmly, discussed the case and options and resolved it in a civilised manner they would respond in a similar way.

Doesnt make great telly though, does it?

The bunch of people who suddenly appeared were ridiculous .They looked stupid brandishing their mobiles - like so who cares if you take pix ? They were doing their jobs and didn't need this shower spouting a load of rubbish about what they think the bailiffs were doing wrong. Then saying they'd show up , wherever the bailiffs went .Pathetic .

I think to show people in debt on tv is wrong and definitely not entertainment.

I diont often sympathise with people on this show but I did tonight.

Ex partners claiming against you! What's all that about!?

And Janet got cold called by some dodgy PI solicitors and ended up getting her fingers burnt.

Was I the only one who noticed at the start of last nights program the first case they are dealing with the enforcment officer parks in a yellow marked bus stop and then goes and clamps the man's van. Surely what the enforcment officer did was wrong as he wouldn't even have the authority to overide rules/law regarding parking in a marked bus stop. As far as I was aware you are not allowed to stop in bus stop that is clearly marked with yellow paint and can face a fine.

There are hordes of these "experts" all over the internet constantly recycling the same old misinformation about law and the court process in an effort to avoid responsibility for their actions. The demand that a warrant has a "wet ink signature" is a hardy perennial that has been repeated so many times it has become an unchallenged "fact" amongst these morons.

1.2million is probably closer to the mark.

It sounded like Janet signed up with one of these ambulance chasing, no win no fee law firms in the hope of some quick compo and then backed out before the case came to court. It would be no surprise if the terms of the contract say that if you don't go through with the case then you are liable for the costs they have incurred to date.

Honestly. Who wants to hear the "C" word just after the water shed ?????

I'm sat watching with my 14 year old daughter.... and I'm sure it's nothing she hasn't heard before.... but really ?? It added nothing to the program and was just gratuitous.

From OFCOMS guidelines.....

" Because of its potential to cause widespread offence, use of the word "c**t" requires exceptional justification at any time. In practice, its inclusion is rarely justifiable before 10pm."

1.2million is probably closer to the mark.
It got 2.03 million in the last BARB figures, so 12m is a bit off. Even Bake Off only gets 13m.

Interestingly it was Channel 5's highest rated programme that week though so I guess we will be seeing more series.

What I've never understood is why they allow themselves to be filmed? Okay so the bailiffs may have a right to enter their home once they gain access but why do they allow the cameramen/women to stay there? Surely that is trespassing? Has this ever been explained?

No it hasn't. But the laws on privacy are extremely complicated so I suspect they have found a way round it.
