Yes it is, if I recall, the first time we've seen Eileen taken in like this by a bloke, though of course she has often mentioned being taken in by Tony all those years ago!!
Much as I really dislike Phelan (as I guess we are supposed to) he is a pretty convincing conman!!
I know a lot on here dislike Eileen & blame her for the backlash against Tyrone a few years back (a view I find a trifle unfair as she was by no means on her own among the Street residents in thinking he was the one hitting Kirsty & she had more reason than most after hearing the rows through her wall) but I've always had a soft spot for the character & she just needs steering back to being caustic but humerous rather than caustic & unpleasant!!
In Councillor M's case she's been conned by one bad guy after another in her time (Greg Kelly, Ian Davenport, Frank Foster) so I would like to think the residents wouldn't set too much store by her verdict on Phelan!!
Liking her & Tim again at the moment!! During that awful Yasmeen stuff even her relationship with him suffered badly on the show?!
