It's rumoured that she's planning to release a new album later this year.

I wonder how well her second album will do. Someone on a music forum suggested huge sales like Adele's 25 last November but I can't see it being so big at all.

Nah I don't think so but I am curious myself to see how it does. She could go the same way as Duffy.....

I love her debut album and have been wondering all the time what's up as to why she's not released another. It's been four years, an eternity in the music business.

Whoever said she could sell anything like Adele does might need to go and see their doctor though. Pure fantasist nonsense right there!

I am wondering if her next album will be a break up album following her divorce from her husband.

Doubt that but no way will she do 25's first week numbers! I bought Duffy's second album and loved it. Her problem was the first single didn't catch on. Emilie needs a cracking first single. Dido's second album was big after White Flag was the lead single.

They were only married about 5 minutes and that was years ago. She's not a kid. She's in her 30's somewhere. Past the teen age breakup song stage. Even Taylor Swift is aging out of it, finally.

She used to write with a 4-man team. Maybe they're no longer available. BTW, what label is Emeli signed to?

Yes, hope she hasn't left it too long. People's tastes change and move on.

They were married for a year but together for several years. They only divorced nearly two years ago. Let's not exaggerate.

Age is irrelevant on whether an artist wishes to talk about a break up in an album. There are tons of albums from artists of all ages inspired by relationship or marriages coming to an end. You can do a break up album without it sounding it like a teenage breakup album.

Twells is always the same no matter what thread she posts on, believes that Subo is bigger than the whole music ind. I believe she'll do decent numbers for a while, but her record company do put her album on disscoubt when she does promo for it, did it almost every time with her 1st album.

I like Emeli a lot. She is very bright and a good singer and good songwriter. I don't know quite what happened to her professionally. The last I heard she was at a band camp for Rihanna's next album. I wish it had been for her own. She's better than Rihanna and should be writing for herself.

Adele left four years between her last two albums and it didn't do her career any harm.

Have to admit, I think Emeli might be about to unleash a cracking new single judging from the snippets.

The hand clap thing though makes me think of Rolling In The Deep.

She is releasing her new single Hurt this Friday 16th September. Can't wait to hear it as she hasn't been around for a few years. Let's hope this will lead to her announcing a UK tour

Hopefully the announcement of a UK tour will follow - fingers crossed.

Lets hope she will appear with this on the live shows of the X Factor

“Long Live the Angels” is the upcoming and awaited second studio album by Emeli Sandé. It’s scheduled to be released later this year via EMI Virgin and Capitol Records as the follow-up to her acclaimed debut “Our Version of Events“, released in 2012. In this new music project, the singer has been working with her friend, British record producer Naughty Boy, and also with Mike Spencer, Emile Haynie and Disclosure.
