None of this is making sense at the minute, Robert acting holier than thou doesn't really suit his charcther and acting like Lachlan needs to be brought to justice is infuriating considering his own past. when he threatened to go to the police over Lachlan why doesn't chrissie Just tell them about Katie, and also that Andy had him shot by Ross and he covered it up out of guilt with the evidence they already have and Andy reporting Robert admitted it to him, a second report would put a ton of pressure on him.

I also don't buy he would go out of his way to this extent to help Andy. I know they supposedly "made up" before he left but I found that to be very contrived, Andy just glossing over Robert killing katies doesn't ring true to Andys stint on the show and what he felt for Katie throughout the years that he would ever forgive him.

The scene where Bernice mentioned to chrissie that Andy was such a huge part of their lives was ridiculous too he got with chrissie at the end of March and had finished by August, that is not being a huge part of anyone's life. I think he was with Bernice for an even shorter amount of time, so her love of my life act is pathetic. You weren't even his second choice love. His relationships with both of these was very plot driven and never really believable. It would have been better for kelvin to leave eighteen months earlier and him and Katie head for pastures new together, or even suicide after her death would have felt more believable and powerfull.

How do people think this will end?

The writing is horrible at the moment, also I hope "Robron" both get killed off. One of the worst relationships in Emmerdale history. Aaron really does drag Roberts character down.

Robert is an entitled prick. Worst character in Emmerdale who believes he should get away with everything but is holier-than-thou about anyone else getting his or her own back.

Noooo!!!! Aaron will not be killed off. I agree Robron isn't the best couple but they can but put with other people. Robert can get with Lawrence for his money and Aaron can bed your beloved Ross and they can be the gay Bonnie and Clyide #Rosron

Nothing worse than a boring psychopath, which is what Robert has turned into around Aaron.

Noooo

Aaron can stay but he isn't to go anywhere near Ross, he has had enough of putting up with miserable Dingles.

Aaron and Ross would be very entertaining and think of all the drama it'd cause for the Dingles, they'd all have to choose who to side with Aaron or Debbie

If Ross was gay/Bi then maybe, just to piss Debbie off a bit. However I doubt it, although Ross has had basically ever woman in the dales so he's running out of options.

Well just keep him away from Chrissie, she would be the death of him.

Chrissie, the worst villain in Emmerdale history. Even Robbie was more convincing

Insanely, probably.

I'm putting this story in the box marked "daft". It makes no sense at all.

I don't buy Chrissie's instant conversion to Cruella, I don't buy Robert as any kind of "good guy" for Andy, and I'm not sure what the hell I'm supposed to think about him basically online bullying a mentally disturbed teen. I hate them all, really.

Maybe Lachlan will kill Robert. Or kill everyone. I wouldn't mind that.

Oddly, SuddenlyMuscleboundLachy, for all his weird creepiness, is pretty much the only one I feel some sympathy for. The actor does sad angry confusion very well.

He isn't just acting this way though for no reason though, he isn't just being a busybody who thinks others should pay for their crimes while he gets away with his own. Chrissie has framed his brother for attempted murder, Andy has had to flee the country, leave his life and family- Robert is trying to vindicate Andy primarily. It makes perfect sense.

The plot is dumb even for a soap plot and I'm not that crazy about Robert, but Chrissie was the idiot who decided she'd frame Andy for attempted murder because he cheated and to get Lachlan off the hook (regardless of how Lachlan felt about it or what it might do to him) instead of, I don't know, coming up with unknown assailant ( it's not as if the Emmerdale police are particularly bright or had much evidence except for the stuff Chrissie decided to plant) or getting Lawrence to say it was an accident, which for the most part it was. Andy and Robert may have one of the most toxic sibling relationships in soap history, but at the end of the day they're family and even if Robert can't stand Andy most days we have been shown at least some times when they've tried to move past all the bitterness and if nothing else he loves Victoria in his own way and she loves Andy. So even for that reason why wouldn't he try to help him? I doubt Robert would give a rat's arse what crimes Lachlan got up to if Andy hadn't had to go on the run because of it.

Lachlan apparently isn't as psycho as he was originally portrayed when he apparently didn't give a crap about sexually assaulting Alisha so I hope it ends with Chrissie getting a better hair cut and make up job ( isn't she supposed to own a bunch of beauty salons?) and hopefully a new personality and him confessing he shot his granddad by accident. It's not like anyone ever goes to jail except for crimes they didn't actually commit in soap land or unless they're leaving the show permanently. He'd probably get a suspended sentence or community service. I mean Adam committed arson and possibly attempted murder when he tried to scare Cain and he only got a few weeks in jail. That way all the characters involved can hopefully move on to a better plot.

Isn't this just the problem with all soaps though. The stuff these characters do now are more akin to a movie rather than a soap. All morals and stuff that's gone before just gets thrown out the window as is the case here.

I really think all soaps need to rethink where they are going because I can't see how any character can have more than a 3 year shelf life given what they go through. There are only so many murders or crimes that go unpunished that you can do in a small period of time.

I was really impressed with Tom Atkinson's performance this episode. That's how to play a psycho without seeming like a caricature.

I agree, he's a brilliant actor. It would be a difficult role for an adult let alone a teenager.
