Evening Dailians, and as we trudge gloomily through this first day of Autumn () I'm standing in for Gulfie who is feeling a bit off colour. All the Dailians wish you a speedy recovery, Gulfie.

Here's what's happening in the Dales tonight :

Part I

Spoiler

Lachlan panics when the police arrive to question him. Seeing the messages from "Donny" on his laptop, Lachlan hurls it across the room in a rage.
Later that day, an angry Lachlan attacks Robert for impersonating his dad, but Robert manages to anger him even more.
Meanwhile, Laurel is thrilled when Ashley organises a picnic for her with musical entertainment. They have a lovely day, until talk turns to their uncertain future.
Elsewhere, Cain is in a bad mood as his divorce papers have come through - and things get worse when Moira urges him to sign the papers. Charity is determined to see them split for good.
Also, Kerry asks Rishi to consider her as temporary cover for Laurel and is delighted when he offers her a trial as supervisor.
Finally, Paddy badgers Marlon about his friendship with Pierce, but is hurt when Marlon bluntly points out it's for Leo's sake

Part II

Spoiler

When Laurel starts having twinges, she tells Rishi the baby is coming. However, once Laurel gets to the hospital, she's told that it was a false alarm and she is sent back home.
Later, Ashley goes upstairs to run Laurel a bath, but her waters break. Ashley is shocked when he returns downstairs to find her in labour.
Meanwhile, Charity urges Cain to stop denying that he wants her. She covertly sends a text from his phone then begins seducing him. Moira shows up just as Charity is kissing Cain and he's furious to realise Charity set this up. But will Charity's plan backfire?
Elsewhere, Kerry is having teething problems in the new role and starts to realise that she may not be managerial material. Later, Kerry is delighted when Rishi thanks her for looking after the factory while he was busy dealing with Laurel. Will Kerry bury her doubts about doing the job? Also, Chrissie warns Robert to stay away from Lachlan, but he's outraged by her threats. Robert convinces Aaron they need to fight the Whites.
Finally, Lachlan lashes out at Liv, while Chas and Marlon are both concerned over Paddy's delusions of winning Rhona back.

September is here and time is running out if you’re to thinking about submitting a team for this month’s ‘Daily Challenge game.


Don’t worry if you haven’t played before. Just read the rules below and get posting. You might end up top of the Leaderboard with your first attempt! New players are always welcome.


It’s a very easy game to play. The object of the game is to pick a team of 11 characters from those listed below which you think will score the more points than the other people playing the game.


New players will need to pick a name for their team. Those of you who played in the ‘Daily Challenge last month can retain the same name or change it (if you think you’ve thought of something better.)


Once you’ve whittled your shortlist down to 11 characters you will then need to nominate one of them as Captain. This character will have their score doubled so you’re really looking to identify the character which you think will score the most points during the month to maximise your chances of winning.


Then, simply post your choices on the thread or send them to me via PM, and keep an eye out for the Monday ‘Daily to see how your “team” is doing in the score updates.

The scoring system works as follows:-

+ 1 point per episode appearance

+ 1 point for the character that speaks the first words in the episode.

+ 1 point for the character that speaks the last words in the episode before the break.

+ 1 point for the character that speaks the first words in the episode after the break

+ 1 point for the character that speaks the last words in the episode.

+ 1 point for any kisses on the lips. If you have both characters who kiss in your team each character will receive a point.

+ 2 bonus points for any character that appears in 6 or more episodes during the week. In the event of any episodes being transmitted on a weekend the week will run from Monday to Sunday.

*** Please note changes to the rules – From January 2016 onwards only regular characters can earn points for words spoken.
Sighs, tuts and only other noises will no longer be counted as words for the purpose of earning bonus points.
In the events of crowd noise the regular character who speaks first after it / last before it will be awarded the bonus point as appropriate ***


+ Remember that your team Captain gets their score doubled!!!

Alongside the main game is the Boys Versus Girls Team Challenge .


You do not need to do an extra “work” for this other than specify which gender you are if it is not already listed on your profile.


For the purposes of this game, each player will have just their Captain included in their relevant team.
If there is an imbalance in numbers the Captain of the team with the lower number gets to pick who makes up the deficit.


For example if there were 14 Girls playing and 10 Boys playing and SULLA was Boys Captain then he could pick whoever he likes to make up the 4 additional places in his team. These four additional "players" could be the same as his Captain, or, if he wanted to spread the risk he could pick a number of different characters.
Each team also has an appointed Team Captain.

Remember, the Team Captains are both able to nominate one more character who will have their points doubled and added to the overall team score.
