So earlier in the year there were little hints that something was going on with Glenda and Danny. But now Ronnie and Roxy are departing, does this mean that we won't see either Glenda or Danny again?

I liked Glenda in her last couple of stints and I hope she will make another appearance before her daughters leave.

I suspect the new guy scrapped alot of stuff so this probably also got dropped just like Kyle's two sisters and the big wedding in August.

Kyles sisters may not have been scrapped, they may not have had any plans to bring them in.

I think the Danny/Glenda plot ended and was only shown to show how greedy Glenda is for money. Also it gave a reason for Glenda to come back for her second stint. Roxy paid her to never come to Walford again so I don't think Glenda will return for their exit.

Either it was scrapped or they never intended to bring back/recast Danny. Glenda on the phone to him was probably just a way of showing that she hadn't changed since her previous stint.

I think you are right, both Glenda's January and May 2016 appearances were to either put feelers out, or to pave the way for a Danny storyline that may or may not of involved Glenda? I can't help but think he was supposed to be tied into Roxy's drugs story along the way? I remember Glenda saying that Roxy had talked some business plan over with Danny. He told her it was a good idea. So both he and Glenda lent Roxy the money she wanted.

I think Ronnie's exit has been known for a while given the change in her character this year, with nods to her past such as Jack returning, Danielle coming back up, Glenda, isolating her from the Mitchells. Also the rebuilding of the Mitchell family unit without the sisters in it.

Trouble is with a new producer executing their exits, all plans could of been redrawn that more than likely exclude Danny and Glenda. Which is a shame as I can see Glenda and Shirley as enimies/fremenies. I can see some more to tell with Claudette and the past. I could also imagine an oddball friendship with Kathy, in the vein of Carol and Glenda. Glenda actually has a lot in common with Kathy. I can imagine Glenda as the Mitchrll's answer to Aunt Babe. Except Glenda does do remorse and has a vulnerable side. Elements I have not seen in Babe - although I am only a casual viewer so may of missed them.

Both January and May showed to remind us that Danny bullies and controls Glenda. We saw in 2010 Glenda was frightened of him and how he had a temper, physically abusing Glenda, even threatening to kill her. In one quite disturbing scene I thought he came close to sexually assulting her by getting close to places he shouldn't in the physical assult. He only stopped when she threatened to tell Roxy and Ronnie everything - which she did anyway.

Seeing how the May visit ended, I don't get the point of her return then? January yes, but May no! We didn't need reminding who she was. We certainly didn't need her for three episodes in May. Roxy didn't leave with Glenda on New Year's Day. She didn't come back with Glenda. Roxy's return could of played out without Glenda.

The reason why the ending with Glenda disappointed me was because people forget that on 2 previous occasions Glenda had chosen her daughters over money - and it was over much larger sums than Roxy sent her packing with. Unless of course it was all part of Danny threatening her to get his money back? Afterall she only stole from Jack when defending herself to Danny over the telephone on New Year's Day.

Oh well short of asking TPTB we will never know what might of been.
