Where is the love

Saw an article on ds saying the new version is terrible (which it is).
The old version is awful too. The first time I heard it, I thought it was a joke. Some comedian releasing a parody of "worthy"songs.

Do you mean the Black Eyed Peas song? I didn't know there was a new version of it. By whom? I love the original, one of their best, imo. Great lyrics. Do you mean the Black Eyed Peas themselves have done a new version of it or someone else has covered it? If they've re-done it themselves I don't really see the point.

The Black Eyed Peas have got back together and remixed it and re released it themselves and it truly is awful. Link here -

It is the sound of Will.i.am disappearing up his own arse.

I don't get will.I.am. he doesn't sing or rap.he just sort of talks in an auto tune way.

Yes this is about the black eyed peas song. They've redone it and it's even worse than the original.

I'm very disappointed with this. It sounds very...bad. Don't get me wrong, the message from Where Is The Love is still heartfelt and meaningful. This song has undoubtedly been relevant for the past 13 years and shares a really strong truth about the world in general but this new version feels so watered down and poor compared to the original version and the addition of auto tune doesn't really help either.

Their original version was far superior in terms of both voices and video. The original song actually had raw vocals that really complimented the song and the message it gave across. It felt more powerful and emotional not just vocal wise but also the video with people looking up the sky, mouthing the lyrics and putting up the question mark signs around different locations, compared to the new one which feels too in your face, even with the same message. I'm just disappointed on how it turned out because I was really looking forward to hearing this song again.

The original is timeless and leaps ahead of the new version IMO. The rap segments were strong, the beat gave more impact and the hook was strong. There was more emotion to it. I do appreciate Will and the rest of the Black Eyed Peas for trying to bring the message across again but the new version is poor. I'm sorry but it's true.

Not sure why they had to include 'The N Word'.

So edgy (!!!)

You're being too kind, Nate. It's awful. I went straight back to the original after hearing this one.
