Yes, great to see it back, and still on top form. Every guest appears to enjoy themself as well, they're not just going through the motions. The only problem I can see is that David Mitchell and Lee Mack must surely run out of "stories" soon ? I mean they can always make stuff up, but they must be running out of genuine peculiar happenings in their lives.

That is a very good point. I can imagine them going out of their way to engineer real-life situations just to put into the show.

Great series so will be watching. Mel's always good value, whether licking Bowie's cake, hood winking security to meet Leslie Judd or admitting to a snog with one of the panellists! (the latter was a unique round....not true/lie but who!)
Rob: Five surely because Mel wouldn't snog herself. Lee: Actually I was including you. Hold on though, I know it wasn't me either. ![]() Anyway, she is a bit weird. Why does she have this fixation about not wanting us to see her wearing jeans? She did the same thing on Big Fat Quiz, where she had to have somebody cover her when she stood up. Bit precious. |

Hilarious first episode. Lee continues to impress with his quick and sharp interjections. Lee and David are the perfect duo of team captains.

I thought Mel had the best quip of the night when she dismissed David's connection to the guest because he would never phone for a Pizza, he'd phone for a Medieval Meal or a Tudor Feast.........

Bob Mortimer on Friday, possibly my favourite guest on WILTY. According to the Radio Times - spoilered so as not to ruin the show for anyone
Spoiler
Cannot wait, so glad this is back. Have promised myself that I can get through the whole series without calling for an extended version and later hour.....Oh ****!! |

Bob Mortimer was great, as always, but that wan't one of the better episodes I've seen.

I thought that was actually a really well rounded episode.
There were some genuinely surprising Truths/Lies from Diane Morgan and Michael Smiley, both Lee and David were in absolute tears during the "Mystery Guest" round, Bob Mortimer had some great moments as he always does and then that final "Possession" round was fantastic. Really great episode in my opinion. |

It's just the funniest thing on television at the moment. No need to sat more.

David Mitchell seems to be phoning it in this series, looks rather disinterested or perhaps he's mellowed out so much that his angry rants are now a thing of the past.

What a subdued episode. I really hated Michael Smiley (his smugness...ewwww) and his story; Nadiya was a lovely girl but was a bit too laidback? Diane was a bit quiet (I love her as a comedienne but this might be a reason this is her first appearance on WILTY in 10 series - her style doesn't quite gel with how the show works). It felt like David and Lee did everything to spice up the episode on their own, but even Bob's story couldn't help much (what a story
even with a photo to back it up)At least the stories were quite obvious (to me. Lee Mack baking? Mary Berry bowling? Come on.) and I got 4 right (never expected Smiley was that douchey to do that) |

Thought the first episode was a little flat but really enjoyed last night's episode - a good, well-rounded episode.
I was expecting Bob Mortimer to be used a bit more though - expect he'll pop up in the unseen bits show. |

I lost concentration at the end. Did Lee Mack bake the cake of David Mitchell's face?

No, I love the programme (as I said earlier) but I didn't think it was one of the best. It was a very slow start and didn't really get going until Bob Mortimer started, then everyone lifted their game. I like Diane Morgan but she appeared strangely subdued tonight and didn't really get into the spirit of the thing at all ?

I thought the episode was OKish, but quite subdued. Nadia seems to be everywhere at the moment, but seemed out of place on the show - not quick or clever enough - and Diane was just too downbeat. As ever, Bob Mortimer was great.

![]() Now we have 'Mickey the Drink', 'Billy the Pigeon' and 'Gentle Ken' (the latter in particular for some reason had me roaring) to add to his colourful list of friends. Best. Guest. Evah... I think both episodes have been very enjoyable. It's infectious as you really feel like everybody's having a great time. The 2 people I only vaguely knew (not into boxing or cakes) David Haye and Nadiya were both good value, especially the former. Apart from Bob, Lee's 'David Cake' was v funny, and him losing it at the end of his 'Donkey in toilet' was brilliant. After the reveal that he's been in Parkhurst for 3 months, he tries to say that he's "on day release" but just cracks up at the ridiculousness of it all...Funniest Show on the box. |

I did love seeing Lee totally lose it. I don't think we've had that before and seeing both Lee and David in tears was hilarious!!

Have all of Bob's stories been true? Burning down his parents' house, the "hand lion" story, whatever that was about, pulling the apple apart with his bare hands, and this one? And they've never picked it.
And looking at that cake, how could they possibly think Lee would have made it?

If you feel like a jolly good laugh, this, and HIGNFY, are the ones to watch. So called modern sit-coms just don't cut the mustard in terms of humour.
