Go on then, do enlighten us as to which jokes were scripted and choreographed, because having been to 3 recordings of this show, the only thing scripted at all is Rob's teleprompter readings.

This series(10) is turning out to be very funny. Great guests and Lee, David and Rob are all in fine form.

Let me enlighten you.

The teams do not just get off the train, bus, cars and come and sit in front of the cameras to do the filming. Its not the first time the teams have come together.

The researchers do a lot of scripting. A lot of work is done with the teams over the whole week. All the scenarios are rehearsed. The teams sit together and discuss, rehearse, re-rehearse the lines. Some of the stuff can be impromptu, but with a framework of a story, that is not such a big deal.

Then they sit with you the audience and start filming.

Geddit?

Got any evidence to back that up?

kate added absolutely nothing to the show, hardly said a word, and was clearly edited out.

Whom ever booked this strange featured woman, who just gurned to the camera, needs to think again.

HAHA oh, that's top stuff, you should be on this show.

The researchers do obviously interview each panelist so they can glean some interesting things that are near unbelievable, but there is absolutely NOTHING to suggest the entire panel meets up a handful of times before the show to rehearse everything.

You *really* think someone like, say, Nick Robinson can deliver *supposedly* scripted lines completely naturally as if they were just off the cuff?

Not to mention if they rehearsed everything that defeats the entire purpose of the game, as rehearsals would allow the opposing time plenty of time to decide whether it was true or not.

I mean come on now...

So it's just unsubstantiated bullshit then?

Yep....with you there. If the show was rehearsed or heavily scripted, it'd come across as obvious. Good point about the guests, but if it wasn't spontaneous, Dave Mitchell and Lee Mack are brilliant actors! I think they're both great, but even they wouldn't claim that!

I think that is more the fault of the programme, she can be very interesting / funny if given the chance but it is difficult when you have a group of bigger egos competing for attention.

None of the male guests were at all good looking. Brian Blessed looked weird, has he had a facelift? Rob looks like a horse, Mitchell like a scared rabbit and Lee is too chubby.

I want my money back.

Or I can just watch Poldark for good looking blokes and WILTY for humour.

She was good value when she was a guest (more than once) on the BBC2 panel game Insert Name Here.

From the (very) little I've seen of Not going out, Lee Mack would be having a stretch to call himself an actor.
To be honest even if it was scripted, it wouldn't take the shine off it for long, one of those programs I find myself smiling all the way through, even if it's a poor episode.
Why I gave up watching Taskmaster, realised I wasn't smiling all the way through, better off with repeats of Mock the Week, The News Quiz or this.

I think this week's show was great.........laughed a lot all the way through

The regulars and Josh were terrific......Kate and the guy I'd never heard of were superfluous and I'm not keen on Brian Blessed. I know he's been an actor for a long time but these days he seems to be famous for shouting. On the other hand when I was a kid he was in Z Cars and that was decades ago so I guess he's done well to still have an ongoing career

I knew straight away that those 3 people were Josh's whole class.......he's mentioned on other shows that there were only a handful of people at his school

I am just the opposite and <Josh Whatever_his_name_is> is the one that did not make me laugh at all.

He is actually a very sharp comedian, much in the same style as Lee mack. But he was a bit subdued on this episode.

Excellent stuff. Claudia's always v good value on this, as is Rhod. Thought the young chap from, oh I don't know, The Only Shore is Essex, was going to get on my t*ts but he was fine, and although she was relatively quiet tonight I like Ms Oberman.

Great fun. Got the 'This is My...' spectacularly wrong though after guessing Josh straight away last week.

Did Tracy-Ann get a turn?

Interestingly I've heard they're doing a special kid's episode for Children In Need

This was an absolute riot tonight,

Wanted the "This is my..." to be David's Lego buddy SO bad though, David really sold me on that with how quick he started talking about the Tower of London and such.
