Jamie Laing was also the celebrity in the funniest episode of Murder In Successville (the first ever one, I believe).

Then they sit with you the audience and start filming.

Geddit?”

Booking a Celebrity for a whole week to go through rehearsals would make the budget soar. Panel Shows are used because they're cheap spending a week with 6 Celebs is definitely not cheap

For the first round, we're told they don't know what's on the card, and I doubt the show would say that if it weren't true. On the other hand, with true answers, the contestant must at least have given permission for the truth to be used; they probably OK a list of several fun truths so it'd just be a question of which one was used.

For the second round, there is no card and I think it's fairly clear that they know enough to prepare a story.

For the final round, it's probably a mixture. For example, one "Possession" was Claudia Winkleman's pet. She surely brought it in herself, and it's hard to believe she didn't know it was under her desk. On the other hand, false answers are probably a surprise. Part of the fun is seeing Lee have to defend an obvious lie without preparation. Rehearsing that is unnecessary and would destroy the spontaneity.

I've noticed a couple of times during this series that guests have been asking logical but awkward question..........eg David's story for the 3 handed mystery guest was tha he'd been riding his bike alongside the canal and knocked them into the water

Somebody asked him how come he saw fit to stop and get their phone numbers in case he might want to contact them someday for a panel show.......

That possession round with Claudia and the stuffed Cat, the Cat wasn't hers and she doesn't like cats, well she didn't like that stuffed one.

That's always how I work out which of those is true lol it can never be the person who they bumped into once about five years ago.

Was a decent episode this week, thought Lee and David had to carry it as the guests - with the exception of Henning - really weren't up to much.

Did quite like when David and Tom Davis tested the whole "replacing a chair with a man" bit though. Also got a huge laugh out of Lee being handed the Irish Accent spray only to say in a welsh accent "I think you've given me the wrong one"

But yeah, it was a bit pale in comparison to last week.

Probably just the fact that so much was lost in the edit. I've seen Henning and David live a few times at The Unbelievable Truth recordings and they do love to rant on to each other! It really is a joy to behold! But it's sad because so little makes it to broadcast! Seemed silly to put them on opposing teams when they know all about each other-being old friends.

A slightly below par episode of WILTY, but still made me laugh a number of times; the standard is just so high and last weeks was a classic.

Henning, not for the first time, was the standout, I thought. He's brilliant on this show. The Irish Accent Spray stuff had me in stiches, with David trying to work out why on earth he would use it, and Henning casually replying that he thought it would be "another string to my bow." And him being mock offended that David call the chap's business a Joke Shop... Called his 'empty box' story as true, too. The bloke is pleasingly eccentric. Generally, if it's a barmy Henning story...it's true!

Oh, and take that chewing gum out, Ryder!

Agree with this although I thought it was arguably the worst EVER episode I can remember, by far!! Lee & David really had to work overtime to keep it going and Rob had to continually keep asking questions as none of the guests ever asked a question!!. The German chap was pretty good but the other three were complete and utter wastes of space, especially the woman (how could anyone be SO thick to believe the cat winking story?!!).

Surprised the producers didn't have a word. It's unprofessional.

As an aside, I was waiting in a dentist the other day with someone, and a mother with her young son was sitting nearby chewing bubblegum and blowing the occasional bubble. Pretty disgusting, I thought, especially in a grown woman.

Was Sean actually chewing gum though ?

a lot of people do the chewing action as a sort of 'nervous tic' without anything in their mouth at all......

Clara is a nice girl but I think she didn't add much to the show (that ooh AH segment was very silly in a good way LMAO). Henning saved the week from being an utter bore with his stories. The one about the human chair was quite hilarious

Everything was a bit easy to guess - David? JET SKI?

I think they could do with having just one guest on each team really, as often one person doesn't even get a card once it's been edited and it sort of feels pointless them even being there.

I really feel David and Henning should have their own show, a kind of new generation QI with Henning as the permanent panelist like Alan Davies. Something like The Unbelievable Truth but on TV. Which by the way, is on radio 4 mondays and well worth listening to if you like WILTY?

I don't find Henning funny at all usually. I thought he was dire on HIGNFY which followed this programme,

However, he did make me laugh on this week's WILTY.

Agree with the above - not the best of WILTY, but still the best comedy programme on TV this week.

I was referring to an episode a while ago. The pet was a tortoise as I recall, and it was live, not stuffed.

OMG had it totally wrong for This is My...

Had its HYSTERICAL moments because of Lee and David but it could be quite dull at times.

Bit unusual this week........

Most weeks there's one panel member that I don't know but this week my first thought was that there was only 1 that I did know.......the Sky at Night woman

(I did soon realise that one of the middle aged blokes on David's team was the young lad who used to be on Eastenders 25 years ago when I last watched it.......blimey, what happened to him?......... Well, 25 years obviously !)

David and Lee saved it this week.......

That moon rock lie was probably the worst lie ever.

This (along with Rob) is happening more and more this series. Thought Adam was OK but the other three (who were they?!!) were (once again) a waste of space. Did think this weeks show though was much funnier than the dreadful previous weeks episode.

I didn't think it was that bad. There have been 6 missions to the moon but moon rock is obviously a lot more exclusive than I actually realised

Can't believe this series is over already. Those eight episodes have flown. past. Where does all the time go to ?

That made it a bit obvious didn't it but it was funny when David pointed it out!

I don't know if any of this week's guests have been on before, but I hope they're not asked again. Did they know they were supposed to contribute, and at least try to be funny?

It's a good thing Lee and David were there to carry the show. Probably the poorest of the series imo. Perhaps they should stick with comedians as guests?
