I know a lot of people have been wondering who's work were watching at the moment with SOC at the end of the credits. From what I've read what we see next week is SOC work. This is the really last week of DTC. I can believe it I mean we see the most important thing next week that would never been shown with dtc in charge the bat.

Thank god. This has got to be one of EastEnders's worst ever eras. Shambles!

SOC's era looks set to kick off to a cracking start with a week of the Mitchells and Grant's return

Yes This Morning also confirmed this.

About time.

So does this mean the people who have been left in charge since DTC left will be fired? They should be.

According to This Morning, Sharon Batten and Alex Lamb have oversaw everything from DTC's last credited episode despite the fact SOC has his name on the credits. SOC's first work as EP officially starts Monday. We have this as confirmation now.

I'm hoping one of the things SOC does in the future is getting rid of Lamb at the very least.

I don't think lamb should be fired never nice to loose your job. But my god never allow him to be executive producer. Dreading to think the story lines he would come up with. Love and warmth would definitely be back.

So this means SOC has been tasked with producing the Mark/Grant reveal. Not much pressure then! lol

SOC will bring in his own story team, it's natural in TV. Lamb would've known his future when DTC told him he was stepping down.

I hope he manages to bring back Simon Ashdown to write a few episodes a year.

Well that must explain why this week has been so godawful. Looks like DTC and his writers just half arsed his final set of material before leaving.

Looking forward to what SOC delivers. Don't agree with him axing Lee, while annoying young characters like Shakil, Mark and Louise are around. But he's taking a pretty bold decision writing out Ronnie and Roxy who I do like but have been twisting in the wind for ages.

With them three and the Cokers going, I'm certain we'll see a new family arrive in the coming months which is always interesting.

But the stories will still be DTC's stories right? So we won't be seeing SOC's work until later in the year?

He is storylining Cora and Max's returns

Nope. This Morning confirmed today is his last work. Everything from Monday is officially the work of SOC.

We were told to expect the change mid September so its happening a few weeks earlier than expected.

I think Vaslav means SOC is the one who will be storylining Max's return.

Ahh okay!

Obviously storylines like the Denise stuff will be a continuation of material DTC started but it will be interesting to see if we get any subtle hints of new storylines or even if the way episodes are structured feels different next week.

I'm sure there'll be plenty SOC needs sacking posts/threads next week then 😀

The guy won't get the time to improve things, too many fans are obsessed with past producers work.

When did you start watching it? Believe me there's been worse.

I think for a final episode that was a good one. DTC can say he went out on a high imho.
