I hope not, Denise pregnancy and another connection to The Mitchells is tedious and Sharon leaving Phil for the millionth time is just as bad, turn off.

Hadn't Sharon left him for the umpteenth time. I'm pretty sure Phil was divorcing her. Anyway let's hope Denise never tells him. Her first consideration now should be to protect her child from that thug.

If the truth comes out, hopefully this will put an end to Phil and Sharon and their tedious relationship for good. They may well have been broken up but after everything else he's done, having a baby with someone else has to be the final straw, surely? This is the only benefit to this story I can see. I seriously hope there will be no more bitch fights over that man.

I don't mind Denise being pregnant, but why does it have to be Phil's?

I don't think Phil recalls that night at all. If I was her I'd probably just tell people it was a one-off with someone they don't know. I don't see Phil stepping up to be a dad.

He doesn't remember it. I agree, but it will come out eventually.

Did you want Phil to be the dad?

Why would Denise and Sharon fight over this? Denise doesn't want Phil.

Sharon is very forgiving these days. She shrugged off Chelle and Grant, once more won't matter.

As much as I think Phil is a tragic character, and I feel sympathy toward him sometimes, I don't see anything positive with him being a dad to a new baby. With the baby being mixed race it will be hard for others to point to an obvious dad if she carries it through. Seems unlikely the baby will look like Phil, although Phil himself looks like a giant baby (minus the face scruff of course).

I really don't see them fighting over Phil.

I don't think Phil will take it very well as he has no way of manipulating Denise, she is possibly the only female on the square to not be intimidated by him.

I hope when this comes out that Sharon finally leaves him, there is no way Sharon can forgive Phil.

There is also another angle to this story, how will Shirley react?

That's true.

I didn't want Phil to be the dad, but I'm glad that they revealed the truth quickly.

She was the one who tidied up the condom wrapper at the time. She didn't say a word and still crawled back to him.

Denise vs Sharon has the potential for some brilliant moments without snarling Shirley getting involved. In fact I hope SOC is savvy enough to write Shirley out. The Carters have done absolutely nothing for her in the long term.

You've written quite a lot of unkind things about Shirley (not touching her with a barge pole, etc.) so it's clear you don't like her. Nothing wrong with that, but no need to shoe-horn it in when it's not relevant.

Kate loves mentioning Shirley in every non related thread

My post was in relation to CherryRose's comment about wondering how Shirley would react. Apologies if my dislike about Shirley comes across as excessive but I just find that she sends out a very negative (and inaccurate) stereotype about older women.

It's more likely to be Kush against the Philth - I just can't wait for the scene were Kush is 'beaten up' by him.

As far as Sharon and Denise goes do we really have to have yet more women fighting over this obnoxious thug?

Anyway if Mitchell sacrificed Denny to Beelzebub by the light of the full moon in the middle of the square TBTB would still make Sharon come crawling back to the old scumbag.
