The Weatherfield Arms?
For years this pub has been mentioned and is a rival of the Rovers but has it ever appeared on screen?

Didn't they do a cricket tournament or some other sport contest with the Rovers a couple of years ago?

The pub has appeared in the past, but not for many years.
It was first introduced when Cilla Brown was working there and was where she met Les. Liz has also worked there at least once. |

The Weathefield Arms actually appeared on screen quite a bit during 2004-2006, the pub most people are thinking of on here (with the tournaments, is The Flying Horse)

Where is the Weatherfield Arms in relation to Coronation Street?

The landlady Stella Rigby was an occasional character in Bet Lynch's time at The Rovers.

The Hour Glass was another pub/bar of the 90s. I think Liz worked as manager there.

I thought SR ran TWA, but was it even mentioned back in those days?
I know The Flying Horse has 'existed' for many years.

Liz used to work there and I recall that their house speciality was a ploughmans lunch, that Diedre used to enjoy on occasion.
Funny the things you remember as you get older. |

I did start another thread on this subject without realising this one existed.
My question was, why don't they make more reference to this pub, they could use it as an occasional meeting place for a few drinks then finishing up at the Rovers for a nightcap. I hadn't heard this pub mentioned for a long time until Tim made reference to it the other night. |

Does anyone else remember the other restaurant years before the Bistro - it was a set for a while - can't remember what it was called - I'm sure Leanne worked there
