Just watched episode 9. Not giving anything away but Geena Davis puts on a fine performance as the new host. Very creepy.

Its such a shame that this hasn't got the numbers behind it. There's so much set up here for further seasons, its gonna feel rushed with just one episode to go. Davis is even better when she's playing 'evil'!

I fear its not got enough to be a series that's why figures aren't great, should of been a few episodes maybe.
Should HAVE been surely??

It must take a huge effort to turn what was the most scary, exciting film of the seventies into a snooze-fest, but somehow the makers managed it.

In a nutshell then, is this show just about possession, or does it extend a bit more into the depths of demons and such? Has it been renewed or cancelled yet does anyone know?

It goes beyond the possession of one or a few individuals to the broader situation, a conspiracy if you like. Rumours are it will be cancelled, unfortunately, but I've not seen anything official.

Absolutely. Should have made her the 'evil' one far earlier.

She's a very versatile actress.

Great season finale going to put this in spoilers as some people don't like knowing if shows end on a cliffhanger or not.

How are you (and some others) watching this? I am watching on Syfy and the finale is yet to be screened. I seem to have been an episode or so behind the conversation on here for weeks now

Wrapped up well, I was so glad they didn't do one of those 'eye swivels' on Geena at the end as that would've eaten the cake!

Special props to: Maria Fitzgerald as Maria Walters, a gr8 role- which could be continued. I thought at one point, she was gonna free the priests after being belittled by the vile Brother Simon, but... No! She had her eye on the prize!
I thought the two actresses playing the Rance daughters gave gr8 performances too, in what were emotionally demanding roles.

Absolutely. She nailed the part.

In fact the whole cast played their parts in making this a great show. Really hope there is a second season.

Just a point of information. The actress is Kirsten Fitzgerald.

Excellent acting all round. I thought it was a very good finale to a very good series.
