But I think Cersei is just too mad and vicious to live her life as a pauper. She'll fight till the last and try to take everybody down with her.
Modeled on Hilary Clinton? Imagine her in GoT, and the Donald as some kind of wandering headbanger.

I'd hardly call Trump a wandering head banger... If you're calling Clinton Cersei, then Trump is a hybrid of Craster & Joffrey....

I've read the 'spoiler' article on here and even if half of it is true it looks pretty amazing!

I'm thinking of buying the current 5? novels although the amount of reading seems daunting. And where does this upcoming novel Winds of Winter fit in with the TV show?

I presume people have seen that S7 supposed plot has been leaked online? Easy to find should you wish to.

Judging from the pictures / videos that are doing the rounds (certain cast members in certain locations with other cast members) most of it seems true...

Looks awesome if so!

At the end of the 5th book
Spoiler
so in general anything seen on screen after that will be Winds of Winter (or A Dream of Spring) material.

That said the show has made more and more changes as the years have gone on so what appears/has appeared on screen will differ in certain plotlines quite a bit from what eventually appears on the pages of Winds of Winter.

^^ Ah right thanks. I love GoT and like George Martin but I've never read a word of his books.

You could always try this to start off with.

A Knight of the Seven Kingdoms

A collection of three short stories set about 90 years before the main series.

New material that hasn't (yet*) been adapted onto screen, not as big an investment as five books (seven if you get the pb versions) and will give you a taste of GRRM's style.

The first of the short stories was the first thing I read set in Westeros and I enjoyed it enough to pick up the first two novels soon after (the third came out a little later).

*GRRM was in talks with HBO about adapting them but it's currently unknown if anything is going ahead.

Thanks for the heads up. I'll check these out.

I've not gone too deep into spoiler territory this year. All I've done (and intend to do) is look at one lot of onset photo's, however that character was seemingly in them (could have been a stand in rather than the actual actor though).

Will recheck those photos. Its gonna be very hard to avoid whats been put out there though, with the 'trickle down' effect. However there have been leaks before that were proven false alarms. Blew my last theory out the water! That's nothing new though - my predictions from the S6 trailer were completely askew....

May I enquire, do you use Watchers On The Wall as your spoiler territory? Just curious.

Might be healthy for you to perhaps widen the distance the show from the actors private lives.

Okay... although Carice van Houten having a baby recently is common knowledge and Sophie Turner has had blonde hair since May which doesn't fit in with her Game Of Thrones usual appearance. Merely speculating how/if both will feature in the next season is hardly discussing the actors personal lives.

Its certainly no different to last year when everyone was discussing whether Kit Harrington was on set.

Given Emilia Clark is naturally a brunette where is the problem of Sophie Turner simply wearing a wig like Emilia does for the role of Daenerys.

Has anyone else seen the spoiler about Cersei and Jaime?

Spoiler

Speaking of the Lannisters, any leaked pictures of them on set yet? I'm assuming they'll have returned to the show by this stage?

All these spoilers are from the same person (a reddit user iirc) and no one knows if they're true or not. The leaked pictures apparently make some of them plausible, but that's the extent of it. I wouldn't be treating them as gospel just yet.

Just seen this, really sad news. I was heartbroken when he and Daenerys never got to meet. What a scene it would have been.

RIP Peter.
