He could Get with Honey or run a business with Max.

I think the return of Max will lead to the return of Cora, and in time Tanya.
There seems to a decrease in "families" coming up. The end of the Cokers, Masoods and the Jacksons soon. Decrease in size for the Mitchells and Carters. So I think the Brannings will become the major family with Dot, Max, Jack, Lauren, Abbie, Cora and maybe Tanya. They have string links to the Beales and many people on the square. |

He should never have come back. I think he was only given a reprieve because the producers felt guilty about giving him such a lame exit previously.

I always thought Jack would work well with Mel, if Outhwaite was ever to return.

Depends what the future holds for the Brannings? In hindsight I think he mainly was brought back for Ronnie's exit. The ex policeman in him is showing through more often. Perhaps Fatboy's death will be the final straw for him - the one thing he cannot forgive? He could even exit at the same time as Ronnie yet?
It seems to me that they have been building up to Ronnie's exit since Christmas Day. Like it or not in the eyes of the law she instigated the murder of Fatboy. That will no doubt be revealed to some, if not all, before she goes. He was a complete innocent, so she needs to have sone kind of punishment. Since January there has been no psycho Ronnie. She has got back with Jack, generally been happier with life. Danielle has been brought up and in some ways Ronnie has got some kind of closure there. Glenda came back and there was some kind of closure there too! Roxy has revisited her drug addiction past after nearly being raped. This dragged up Ronnie's past with Archie and ultimately gives Roxy a better understanding. The new producer might be responsible for the sisters' exit storyline, but I feel the build up has been in the planning for about a year now. I said months ago that I felt with all these past references, the end was near. Since New Year the sisters have not been so involved with Phil's branch of the family. Phil now has a strong family unit around him that doesn't include them. I am guessing Ronnie's new found inner peace will come crashing down on her wedding day, or as the wedding get's closer? I give Jack a another year after she goes. Unless they can be very imaginative? He was a bit lost after she went last time and the Branning were dominating the show back then. |

I'm so cross that it seems Charlie was axed to bring Jack back for Ronnie, who then proceeded to bore his way around the Square ever since his return, only for Ronnie to piss off and leave him redundant. Because he never interacts with any of the other Brannings. Even his stepmother would no doubt rather have her grandson around over the plank.

So I am guessing they got rid of Charlie when the storyliners decided that they wanted to build up to Ronnie's exit. Part of the buildup involved revisiting past stories - and that included Jack. I think Jack is back to see through her exit and that's why he is playing second fiddle. When Max cones back he might do more or follow her out the door? Perhaps Charlie will come back after Ronnie goes - or maybe just before - and he ends up with Matthew.? |

I think he will stay despite the fact Scott Maslen is a weak actor.

Max needs someone other than Abi or Lauren to interact with...and at the moment, Jack is probably the only person, other than Stacey, he would speak to on the square!

Jack as a single dad to Ricky (and maybe Amy if she doesn't leave with Roxy) could be interesting. I could also see him maybe getting with Belinda at some point.

I like Jack and have always thought they could of reintroduced Penny but I am not sure if the Penny ship has sailed for now?
I hope he does get left with Amy as well as Ricky. Max does need other people so I think Jack might stay around for a bit but nothing would surprise me long-term? As said above, he didn't seem to work too well without Ronnie last time - and he had Max and masses of other Brannings then, not to mention Michael Moon. It all depends what the new boss' vision is? |

I would like Amy to stay with Jack as well. It would be interesting to have a single dad of two on the show.
Think Amy will leave with Roxy though. The mitchell girls and all that. |
