EE - new family
very un PC question
If there is another Pakistani family on the square (I mean, rumour has it they will add a mosque to the set) , will they again be played by Indians? And has there ever been a proper Pakistani actor on the set? Or are they not allowed to play gay, drinking, gambling, getting pregnant outside marriage, sitting at the Vic, albeit with orange juice. |

I am sure there is a couple of actors of Pakistani hertiage they could gather, even those that will not feel any "heat" from the community if they play so called "risque" characters.
But i bet it will be struggle to get the family blend right without using the odd Indian hertitage actor. I would personally like to see a interracial (white english female, Pakistani british born male) young family who are both of islamic faith rather than the usual middle age couple. I really don't see the point of having a mosque on set unless they was going to have a ton of muslim actors or extras, just do what they have done before and film on the odd occasion in whatever mosque they used for the masoods. |

Really want a mixed race family show some more struggles mixed race children actually face sometimes I know from experience. Including things like parents splitting up knowing about your cultures and backgrounds and trying to fit in and be what others want you to be. Think a mixed race family with 1-3 kids would be nice.
