I thought Louise was good but its hard to tell from such little footage, I think she has low confidence but she is a very good dancer if you look at her performances.

Everyone else seems to be seeing something in Louise that passed me by. I thought she looked stiff, especially her upper body & arms. Even when they were just moving on the spot when they were all being introduced.

Yes, Ore did look good, and the very attractive blonde female celeb (sorry, can't remember her name at the mo). Ed Balls was dire & I thought Louise & Lesley weren't very good either.

Best: Ore, Tameka, Naga
Worst: Ed, Louise, Daisy Have to admit to only seeing the dance one time yet, and the likes of Danny, Laura and Lesley just didn't catch my eye on that first watch (so, I have basically named all the celebs I did notice, lol). Do think that for instance Louise and Daisy could be in trouble early on (especially with the dislike of Kevin) as one of them is very conscious in her dancing and the other has terrible posture. |

Shame some didn't rate Lesley. I saw her in Annie this year and thought she was amazing for I dare say 'her age'. She was dancing around the floor and keeping good time and movement etc. I would like to see her do well as et again Anton is blessed with the mature woman of the group.

People on the spoiler thread said Pasha had obviously fallen from favour when he got Naga, but she really stood out to me and could be a contender,
Laura is too tall for Giovanni, and I would have prefered to see him with Anastacia or Louise. |

Ore really stood out, Danny also looked good along with Tameka, I was trying to see Greg couldn't see much but I'm relieved to see he didn't look bad at all. Robert Rinder I think it worth keeping an eye on he looked fit, pretty good dancer and he will just go for it.

Do not know how you can tell anything from the group dance - someone posted louise looked stiff and something about her arms - fail to see how you could tell all that from the brief glimpse we got -I judge dancing and could tell nothing from the dance other than a lot of nerves, some are quite stiff - Ore and Claudia show early promise.
last year Jamelia looked good in the group dance but it did not transfer to the actual show and many of them not dancing with who their partners are - and that can make a big difference |

She would have flourished in Brendan or Aljaz's arms. |

I was surprised by Will; after seeming so nervous when talking earlier on, he suddenly came "alive" when dancing. Ore was clearly enjoying himself immensely, he obviously has natural rhythm, but it remains to be seen if that can be controlled for ballroom and Latin.
Of the females, Naga and Anastasia both stood out for me. Of course, with such a large number on the floor, and only seeing any of them briefly, it is impossible to get a true indication of what any of them are really like. Time will tell!!! |

Laura I thought looked like a professional, her dance experience must be more than she is letting on.
Was slightly disappointed Louise didn't do as well as I was secretly hoping she would. |

Honestly, other than Ed, there was nobody who stood out as being particularly bad.
14 out of 15 decent dancers could make things very competitive this series! On initial watch, Anastacia, Naga and Ore really stood out, mainly because I was surprised at how good all three of them were - Naga especially really shocked me! Claudia, Danny, Laura and Will were all very good as well. I personally didn't rate Tameka's dancing as much as most others seem to, though she wasn't bad by any means. I also think a lot of people might be underestimating Louise because she didn't dance with much gusto and consequently didn't stand out much, but watching it back, I thought she showed more control and finesse in her actual movements than almost anyone else which makes me think she'll be really good with more confidence. ![]() Overall though, I think we're in for an extremely unpredictable and exciting year! |

Ore and Will looked good, Ed looked awful, the rest were somewhere in between.
Of the supposed "contenders" I didn't think Louise, Daisy or Claudia looked particularly good, though there were a lot of them that we barely saw so it's hard to comment at all! I must have missed the bit that has everyone raving about Laura, same with Greg. |

Tameka looked like she had proper rhythm.
Louise was a bit lack luster. Will and Ed were a bit dad dancing esque. Daisy walked like Jerry Hall. Anastasia looked like she was having the time of her life. Naga looked very very nervous. Claudia just posed. Melvin looked proper cool but didn't really throw himself into it. They are the ones that stood out for me. |

Ore and Anastacia were the two that popped into my head when I read the thread title but what impressed me most was that everyone seemed to be really going for it with results varying between pretty good, very promising and Ed Balls.
Very early days, of course, but I have high hopes for a series full of surprises - can't remember the last time the competition felt wide open. Really hope this is the year! |
