What a stupid comment to make. Of course he plays to their strengths. Just look at the list of partners he's had. Who among his partners (Widdy, Judy, Fiona) could have been taken any further than they were or indeed lasted longer with another partner?
And there's no point trying to bring in the whole he didn't take latin seriously with Katie last year (I know you haven't but others do on here). Clearly she wasn't as able in that, so he didn't hold her back in anyway. He made the final 4 remember, you know, a place that's higher than the majority of the other pro's last year.
I think that shows ability. If that doesn't, what does?
He pitches it right for their ability and what they're happy with. That's what a pro is there for. No point in being a pro who makes their celeb feel uncomfortable and unable to perform etc. That leads to increased nerves and possible meltdowns. That's not what Strictly is about to me.
Kevin pitches it just right too, he's just been luckier with the ability of the celebs he's been partnered with. Susanna, Frankie and Kellie were all able and danced very well with a likeable pro.
I feel Louise is very beige and this year Kevin might have to come to the fore more to make her more impactful. Kevin being more Kevin is just what some people on here don't want, that's for sure!
