She is honest!! Normally you always hear how wonderful everything is but it's good to hear about the downside too.

Wonder if she will have a waltz this week?
Absolutely!

She hints at it being an emotional song, my guess is Waltz or Viennese Waltz.

Yep, tough day at work

Here's Part 4 of Laura's Strictly blog for Glamour mag.

Struck by her honesty.

Lovely anecdotes about Louise giving her support and Daisy's dressing room snack drawer full of crisps and jellies, now there's a girl you want to have as a friend

Laura says this weeks song has a special meaning to her. The filming at the O2 was about getting to know and trusting eachother. She says Giovanni has been so supportive this week

Leave those nerves behind Laura and sparkle again on the dancefloor!
Very honest and may be pleading with people to give her a chance to enjoy the journey. She seems really genuine and down to earth. Wonder which song is she dancing to next week??.

No sign of Mick. ( sobbing )

Poor guys. I recorded and just watched ITT and Karen blamed the choreography for bent knees. ( relieved )

Thanks for posting this - an interesting read, and as you say, very honest. From the little BBC bio it looks as though there is no dance training there - she studied journalism at university. ( I know she has mentioned doing Irish dance as a schoolgirl , though.)

Looking forward to finding out the next dance. I seem to remember that last year, songs were revealed on Tuesday evenings, so it might follow the same pattern this year.

Sad to hear that Laura is feeling a bit down about all the crap that's been written and implied. I thought it might put a downer on her Strictly experience and it looks like it has so far. She needs a confidence boost (and for people to lay off.) She's got so much added pressure ... unnecessary added pressure. It's enough just worrying about your first dance etc without worrying about the gossips and the tabloids.

She sounds more positive about it all now though so hopefully she can put it behind her. Looking forward to their next dance ... sounds like it will be emotional. Wonder what that special song is?

Every time she releases a blog, I like her more and more.

Hope the tabloids and whoever lay off a bit to let them focus on the training.

Kind of interesting that Georgia's last dance on the show, the blindfold showdance thingy, was about trust, and trust is where Laura's journey is starting. Ah buggerit, I wish we saw more of everyone's training. That's the good stuff

I love this "I've always considered myself confident, I host live telly, so you have to believe in yourself to a degree, but I have felt that confidence somewhat knocked before the competition started."

She's totally honest which I really like. I loathe the "I'm a sweet, unsure little thing who is totally unworldly wise" act from the presenters/actresses/singers who do the show. No-one in that world could possibly be either naive or lack confidence. It's a tough old world and they all have to be tough cookies. That's not to say it's not totally nerve wracking being out of your comfort zone and Laura explains it really well.

Thanks Ochre, I will watch on my 'phone later. I'm at work at the moment with no headphones so the office might not appreciate compulsory listening (miserable old so and sos)

Great song, so pleased they've got the Waltz as a contrast so Laura can show elegance and a softer, romantic side. She'll probably feel safer in hold and has shown how cleanly she can spin. If her footwork is good think this could be a strong dance for them

According to their tweets training seems to be going well. Pleased to hear it as I got the impression from her blob she has been struggling a bit.

I'm really enjoying her blog too and I agree, surely no one buys the "my career involves performing but I'm so shy and unsure about everything! *coy stage giggle*" faux niaf do they?!? (Apart from the strictly producers!). I wish Mick had a blog though,

I definitely believe in nerves. I remember Craig RH on Masterchef and he was all over the place ... it was divine retribution!!
They're each comfortable in their own sphere (though loads of actors/singers etc have crippling stage fright) but this is something new to them and also it's such a high profile programme. Not many of them actually do fall over or make a hash of it ... but the thought of doing so must terrify.
I hope we get to see Mick at some point ... surely we will, the producers won't overlook something that cute!

We've had psychic meerkats, the psychic Chihuahua, - why not a psychic MIck?

He's cute, but you can have my share if they do. I did like him wiping his bum on Laura's best rug though. If he takes that attitude to Strictly, I'm in!

Oh absolutely, the dancing aspect must be utterly terrifying. It's just the making out that they're shy and retiring when they work in the entertainment world which is a bit hard to believe I remember Craig on Masterchef and I found his nerves really endearing! Do you remember Emma Forbes helping him? They were so sweet together.

Laura was out with Daisy last night at the Britney concert (sorry for the SOS link)
