Ridiculous, ridiculous, comments from Georgia's fans under Laura and Gio's BBC Strictly Instagram vid.
For goodness sake!!
Poor Laura shouldn't have to put up with their petty remarks ... hope she doesn't look (and definitely hope Gio doesn't) but she probably will as she's a dedicated Instagrammer.
They're not allowed to be supportive of each other like all the others. I guess they should stand six miles apart and send messages by pigeon post!

I thought Laura and Giovanni were incredible tonight - their chemistry on the floor was amazing. She improved so much from last week

As much as people go on about the BBC pairing him with Laura for the tabloid headlines I think they are a good partnership. I think some people wouldn't be happy whoever he was dancing with, even if he got Ed Balls! Nothing short of GG dancing together and living happily ever after in a princess castle surrounded by unicorns farting glitter would be acceptable to a certain contingent of 'fans' 🙄

Yes I agree choucroute, Hollywood glamour with a modern feel. The song was perfect.

Been watching it back. Laura really does have beautiful posture and great flexibility. They are locked together, no gapping. Incredible chemistry, what a performance from them both.
God, that is the perfect description!

Lovely back bend - but some horrid comments under that photo. Some nasty people about.

Could be worse. Though there's still time, I suppose

Thank you, that is a stunning shot.

Giovanni telling Laura how proud he is of her and Laura thanking him for giving her her confidence has me misty eyed again.

I love that she's becoming a ballroom girl. These two really made their mark on the competition tonight.

BIB 1: Absolutely! Giovanni is so lucky to have been paired with her (and she with him) and the height difference is negligible (I like seeing him with someone taller with more elegant lines.) I think the real mismatch (in terms of size) is Daisy and Aljaz.

BIB 2: Do you post on the not-an-appreciation-thread thread? I think it could use your kind of sharp not-appreciating. (It seems to often devolve into inane "can I just unappreciate this spot of damp weather" or twee talk of drinks and snacks.)

Morning all

Well I had just hoped for an improved performance and it was even better than I expected! Loved the choreography and storytelling, and a really superb performance from Laura in her first ballroom. Working on her confidence has really done the trick and I am delighted for her.

The Judges comments on Laura and Gio's Waltz . . .

Craig: "I think you skipped a little bit out of that back standing spin moment but I have to say it was absolutely gorgeous that routine. I loved the punctuation, it was romantic without being oversentimental or soppy. I really, really enjoyed it a lot."

Darcey: "Laura the emotion, the elegance you brought and also you have this beautiful extended back where you did that beautiful unfolding at the front . . . the control, to be able to sustain that, stunning. Beautiful work."

Len: "Your frame was good, I loved the standing spin it was fast and it was clean. Beautiful throwaway oversway. I loved that mix of light and shade . . . It's a solid performance, well done."

Bruno: "So silky smooth, such sophistication and demure and yet it had such a sizzling, passionate intensity. It was like watching two dancers combined in to one. It just had a very special quality that I love, I love when I see things that I haven't seen interpreted this way before. Excellent. "

BIB My favourite comment. Sometimes Bruno just expresses a dance perfectly.

I know he can be hyperactive but Bruno is now my favourite judge. Think he is the most fair with his comments and marking.

Good morning, Ochre . I really loved their dance. Watched it three times already. One word ' Amazing'. Laura looked stunning. I do miss Mick.

Totally agree. Laura was emotional after the dance. Things like this must be affecting her, on top of the nerves.

Thanks for the links.

I thought Danny's and Laura's were the best of the night, deserved the top marks.

Morning Sarah

I think Laura showed last night that she is determined to enjoy her Strictly experience with Giovanni in spite of what really only a few are writing and to express their growing closeness and dancefloor chemistry. As jivingmissdaisy said it was wonderful to see how her confidence had grown and I love the clip after they've danced where Giovanni tells her how proud he is of her and Laura thanks him for giving her that confidence.

Laura was emotional last night. I interpreted it as positive emotion . . . she let herself go and felt overcome by the joy she'd felt during the dance. She did also post on social media that the wedding of a close friend was taking place yesterday, she was sad not to be there and this Waltz was for them so perhaps that was all on her mind.

It was an amazing night for them, one to remember.

Love this photo Laura has posted with Ore, Jo, Oti and Claudia last night captioned 'What a show. Lots of tired feet and exhausted bodies but feeling so happy.'

And she's posted the stunning backbend shot with the caption 'Still shaking from last night! Thanks to all my friends for the special support over the last week. You know who you are x' I am thrilled for both of them. Giovanni has shown he can choreo a ballroom routine as sophisticated and elegant as those by Aljaz or Brendan.

Real Strictly moment for me, what I originally fell in love with this show for. Beautiful ballroom, glamour, joy in dance. Their Waltz goes in my collection to watch again and again.

Kristina Rihanoff's verdict on the waltz. She wrote a short piece about all of the couples, but I've just copied this half from a post that appeared on my Twitter.

I'm no fan of the name-melds either. Jo and Ore were fleetingly Team Oreo, which was at least witty, but I think the BBC product placement rule did for that. It takes so little time to say Gio, Laura (and Mick) that I don't know why people bother.

Do you think he's pretending to be a bad singer!?

Bella Ruby!
..... bib... yes, I agree and also think his singing is really as good as his drumming

You may have mentioned Vincent called you 'bella' once or twice and I'm still jealous Thought it was lovely Laura and Giovanni attended Vincent and Flavia's show together.
sorry about that but it was such a fantastic experience and will probably never happen again, Gio is next on my list as a dance partner

Vincent and Flavia's show was superb, did you see it?

thank you, that back bend is so graceful

hi Daisy, completely agree but I do think Gio should have worn a tail suit, Anton always looks so elegant when he wears one

Very complimentary, I agree with everything Kristina's said there

Only joking, I think it's lovely you have such a fantastic experience to relate

No I wasn't able to travel to see them unfortunately but have tickets booked to see both Aljaz and Janette on their Remembering Fred tour and Brendan on his tour next year so am excited about those.

Would dearly like to watch Joanne in Thoroughly Modern Millie too and know my daughter would love it so going to look at dates, think there's more to be announced.

Wonder if Giovanni will do the Strictly tour (without Laura as she's touring with her play in the New Year) and/or maybe join Kevin and Karen on their tour.
