Thanks Huph And sorry again for being so picky Lewis, really glad you started the thread.

Lou you're in the attic! Did you get lost on the stairs I'm pleased you are

Laura looks so pretty doesn't she, even after hard training!

Thank you for the clip chachacio, I hope Giovanni does push her hard as I want her to achieve the best level she can. Laura''s obviously tired, I like the relaxed, teasing vibe between them. She'll have to think of another bribe to get longer breaks

So first dance prediction....Jive or Cha Cha?

Thanks Ochre, I thought I would dip my toe in! Love this clip, I think they are developing a great relationship. Giovanni tweeted this : "You got it !!! 😂😂😂🤔🙄😏 only joking absolutely proud of you !! You are smashing it !! Well done ! #TeamLovanni"

Evening Lou, sorry just seen your post. Master Ochre's first morning in Reception class today, he loved it

BIB I think so too, looking forward to more footage from training.

Just read this interview with Caroline in the Radio Times, apparently she knows Laura's first dance and was having a little practise with her in her lounge She describes Laura as a natural, predicts her for the final (good mate there lol) and on her being paired up with Giovanni says “I think it’s a really good pairing. He’s very strict and you need that. That’s why I liked having a Russian. I’d sit down and be like, ‘Let’s have a coffee’, and he’d (Pasha) be like, ‘Do it again!’ I needed that.”

Caroline says she has divided loyalties as she's still 'Team Pasha' and also close to Daisy and Melvin. She's going to be in the audience the first live weekend, wonder if she'll be filmed visiting Laura in training one week as well

Ohh excellent, thanks Ochre. Caroline posted some photos of her and Laura at Glastonbury this year. They seem to be good friends. I wonder what their first dance is??

Bless little master Ochre I'm very glad he loved his first day x

Awww thank you Lou x

Daily Star article including interview VT with Laura at the RSPCA Animal Hero Awards earlier this week.

Laura comes across really well.

Training so far has been harder than she thought and Giovanni's strict but she's loving it.

Laura says she didn't know in advance who she'd be partnered with but Giovanni was one of three guys that she thought height-wise she might be paired with. Talks about him warmly throughout the interview.

She mentions that along with Caroline, Alesha and Pixie have given her some tips too . . . everyone says 'work your ass off'

I like Laura's answer to the question about whether she's already bored of the Strictly romance headlines . . . 'you have to ignore that, it's your own journey and it's my journey'. Spot on.

She's also asked about her gorgeous dog Mick who was invited to the awards but she thought he wouldn't cope well with all the people there.

Great response, think she can take care of herself.

Laura posted this photo from last night's training captioned 'Long day! Thanks @pernicegiovanniofficial - even though it was tough at times we got there in the end! Now to put my feet in some cold ice! 😩 @bbcstrictly'.

Love that she specified cold ice, I say that all the time Looking forward to Laura and Giovanni's First Steps VT. My guesses for their first dance are definitely either the Jive or Cha Cha.

Interviewing Lady Gaga in the morning followed by Strictly rehearsals, sounds like Laura's Friday was a pretty special day.

Oh God, no, not a dog... Now I HAVE to support them. So much fluffy cuteness

Though did we see that judge fella with a pug or a boston terrier or some such chunky wee dog too? He was doing sit ups and touching noses with the pooch for each one

Yes, I think Judge Rinder did have a dog at training too, or it might have been Will Young.

Well, we've already had early entries for Nanwarz and Babywarz, but it looks as though Dogwarz is the latest tactic!

It's difficult to judge from something so brief but yes, it does look pretty good so far

The heading to her blog did say Samba but I think that may have come from the editor rather than Laura.

Love that short twirly clip, thanks Lou ... I'll go with Cha Cha

Hope to see part 2 of Laura's blog posted a bit later and might find another clue, don't think it's up yet.

Oh no, no, no, more wriggly fluffy adorable doggy ... Plus other animal references!

The pooch is called Mick. This is Laura's Glamour mag blog and in it she does say her first dance is one of the more difficult ones, so maybe it is Samba???

ETA my grammar grump. Why do people eschew the preterite for the simple past action of texting? Drives. Me. Bananas! 🍌🍌🍌

Samba would be a toughie for week one! But it looks like the boys are friends now…in Laura’s snapchat the other day Gio was stood on a chair with Mick growling at him Just as well because I think Mick will be a regular in the training room!
I think Laura comes across really well so far and I didn't know much about her before Strictly (probably don't watch enough TV!) so looking forward to seeing how she progresses.

Oooh sparkly Strictly trailer, only 11 days to go!

Laura's yellow dress is my favourite. She said in her blog last week that yellow is her happy colour, her big bird comment made me chuckle on the launch show

Thank you for the link, wonder if she has got Samba from the clue relating to Giovanni's training method ... practising samba bounce without her head bobbing up and down? Agree jivingmissdaisy, it would be tough for Week 1...has anyone done a Samba in the first week in previous series? Trying to think. Or could she mean Cha Cha walks?

Awwww how cute is that pic of Mick on Giovanni's lap, looks like they're friends already! Hope Mick appears in lots of training clips

Great that she's enjoying getting to know the other celebs, love this year's group.

I like that through her blog and social media posts Laura's giving an honest insight in to training. Plenty of laughs but also how physically hard it is.

I'm backing this pairing! I know that she doesn't have the performing arts experience that Georgia had, but hoping Laura will shine with Gio

Same here. She is honest about how hard it is but she looks like she is really going for it. She and Giovanni must get on well if she's introduced him to Mick Although he was a naughty boy yesterday and "wiped his arse" (Laura's words!) on her best rug ... that's Mick, not Giovanni.

She's got a good sense of humour I think Ochre and doesn't take herself too seriously. I don't think she is trying too hard on the old social media either because her washing is hanging around waiting to dry behind Mick No staging going on there
