Popping in to join the chorus of appreciation for verrrry prrrromising quickstep in training footage. Yes.. the quickstepometer is indeed set to warp speed judging by those pics Ochre))

And I think distinctly more promising than Danny's QS in the Battle of the Quicksteps this week.

Just caught up with ITT. QS is looking very promising and polished, despite rehearsing in a bricklayers yard

I have visions of them whizzing round in a blur like in a sped up VT all week

Nicer than the underground car park with the leaky pipes for the new pros

Laura has added one of the training photos to her Insta and added in the caption that they're having a lot of fun rehearsing the Quickstep this week, really pleased to hear that. Looking good aren't they Huph and shaposh.

Also on Laura's Insta, a beautiful photo of Team Lovanni with Naga and Pasha.

Its the International Ballroom Dancing Championships at the Albert Hall tonight - Gio and Laura are going with the pro dancers Neil Jones and Gorka - maybe others as well. It will be really inspiring for Laura to see 'the real thing' - can't think of anything better for getting in the mood.

Might well be some pics later on as Neil Jones... shall we say... is an 'enthusiastic' user of social media.

Oh yes... Mr Jones might break out the flower power suits again - epic

On another thread, Bendymixer and her very experienced eyes have commented that Laura and Gio's QS was looking better than Danny and Oti's as well. Hope she won't mind me noting that here.

Mind you, the judge's scores can often be a WHOLE different thing..

Wondering why Laura has posted a 10 second Insta Story clip of Gio dancing rumba with...someone.... is it Oti? Can anyone else make sense of it?

Am wondering if it is a walk through of their next week's dance so that Laura can understand the dance fully before she learns the technique.

Any views?

It does look like Oti, doesn't it? Think you might be right about the reason Lady L and perhaps Danny is down to have this dance next week as well.

Quickstep training looking v good from the snippet seen so far and Laura seems to be especially enjoying training this week which is great. Really hoping they get a bounce back this week.

I must be looking in the wrong places cos I can't find it... Could it be for the Sunday show?

The mystery dance clip is on Laura's Instagram Stories as opposed to her normal Instagram feed. I think it is Oti - hard to tell as she has so many different wigs and weaves I lose track and the female dancers face is in shadow a bit.

It could be for a Sunday dance. On the other hand, Gio has just done a Sunday rumba with Janette in support of legend Barry Gibb. The steps also looked to me very suitable for a routine with a celebrity...

One things is for sure, I really, really, really hope that we all get to see Laura's next week dance

Wow the International Ballroom Championships will be a wonderful experience, hope to see a couple of pics of Laura and Gio later.

That's made me think back to Gio and Jo dancing in the Strictly Prom at the Royal Albert Hall in the summer, going to rewatch.

Interesting regarding the Rumba, it would be a strong dance for Laura.

Ochre - the BBC Strictly Prom routines were beautiful and the emotional depth that both Gio and Jo showed made them compelling viewing.

O/T I just find it very odd to watch them again as both of Gio's dances with Jo (Gymnopedie and the Libertango) involved a storyboard of a relationship arguments, break ups and notably Jo walking out with a suitcase. I mean... without taking the lid off the whole GG break up which occurred just four weeks later...... I am not sure if I think the choreography was entirely coincidence or not. Undecided. And its their business anyway.

Hi LL Libertango was my favourite, wonderfully intense. I understood that Jason Gilkison was the choreographer for the Strictly Prom.

Nearly time for ITT!

And another four minutes of my life passes rewatching that clip My paperwork mountain is not thanking you Ochre.

Really, really beautiful. But poignant in the circs.

Yup. Jason did the choreo. He would have had a very good idea of what his professional dancers could portray convincingly.

Was watching ITT on delay. Yes her dress for QS is beautiful, all her dresses have been lovely but then she must be very easy to dress

Evening Huph They have, I loved Laura's yellow Waltz dress too and the stones on her showgirl outfit last week were stunning but I think this Quickstep one could be my favourite so far. I like Prom style dresses.

I should think Laura is a dream for Wardrobe, Daisy too

What is does Laura's black and pink dress suggest for Gio? Are they going for a more rock vibe rather than tails? Or is it black rather than white tails... I am not sure myself.

I am thinking that if they were putting Danny in tails (which they MUST given his song choice) then maybe they want the other QS to be a contrast....

Laura will look fab in that dress. I am really glad that it is relatively short as it will show off her footwork. No floorlength with dry ice for Laura!!
