I know I was thinking that! It's supposed to make him look 'scary' but he looks hot. There is that whole thing about the brooding good looks and sexual allure of vampires being part of their thing. I did used to love Spike from Buffy too and Christopher Lee as Dracula is one for the 'odd crush' pile.

I'm thinking I may adopt this look, winter is not kind to my colouring it sort of propels it from 'lookin' sexy' into 'oh dear are you ok? You look a bit grey' territory combined with horrid under eye circles I might just embrace it and go full goth.

So if we summarise the creative input from the Appreciation thread... Laura and Gio should dance:

- a vampire-themed Samba in full goth makeup
- drinking a kale smoothy in the dance intro
- with both MICK and an Anton du Beke 'Samba Demon' cameo in the comedy VTs
- to another Rolling Stones track (well.. it worked last week.. Sympathy for the Devil maybe?)

Wow, what a tango .... I just loved it and was thoroughly relieved that the judges did as well. Laura looked the absolute part and the chemistry between her and Giovanni was palpable. I loved also the affection between them. I think this has made their partnership even stronger. I still feel that Laura holds back from Giovanni sometimes which makes me sad.

Did we find out what day Laura is on Loose Women? I assume not today?

I think she is relaxing but I can actually understand her holding back a little. She doesn't want the tabloids to go into overdrive.

Poor Laura. She's just quoted "In a world where you can be anything, be kind". I hope she's not receiving even more abuse.

I agree Lou. I felt the chemistry between them on Saturday had really intensified. Thought they were very affectionate too.

I did too Huph and it was lovely to see. I just hope Laura is beginning to feel she can respond to Giovanni's affection without fear of the social media nasties and the tabloid press

An hour ago, Georgia posted a quote on her Instagram which is a bit unhelpful and probably doesn't have a place for discussion on this Appreciation thread. So the social media trolls have, of course, crawled out from their nasty pits. Hoping that it is a 'busy' news day and the cut-and-paste journalists don't pick it up.

On a more positive note, Claudia F was on the train to film for ITT later - not sure if we will have Claudia/AJ on Monday or on Tuesday, with Laura and GIo on the other day.

I am crossing my fingers for good samba music - if Gio describes it as a 'beautiful, beautiful Samba' he must be happy with the song given to them. Maybe time for 'Use it up, Wear It Out' to come round again? Or a bit of Ricky Martin?

I am really excited about their samba. Hopefully Laura's confidence has been given a massive boost after they did so brilliantly last Saturday.

I haven't commented yet on the amazing tango Laura and Giovanni performed on Saturday. The scores and judges comments were all fully deserved, too. Laura and Claudia were so excited, tweeting each other about being joint top.

Samba isn't a dance I particularly care for, but wish them the best with it even so. I'm sure it will be a good routine, and hopefully to decent music.

Oh I hope they get a proper Latin song! I don't think anyone's got a decent latin song this year!!

I didn't watch but having had a look online it doesn't look like she was. Will keep an eye out.

I love a GOOD samba - to me its a bit like rumba... cover face with cushion when badly done but when its done right.. breathtaking. Loved Volare Samba last year - a real stand out.

It strikes me that amongst the last four ladies standing, Laura has the most potential now to deliver a dramatic character dance. I wouldn't have said that at the start of this series as Lesley and Tameka owned that space. But as it stands, its only Laura that is trying to really sell the routines and it worked a treat in the Tango. That is probably the way to go.. Bruno and Craig always loooove a dramatic dance anyway.

Technically clean but 'nice'... well Louise is always going to win on that front.

BIB Hope so, can't wait to hear what they have to say about Halloween weekend and also Samba training and any updates on Laura's injury . . . Although my guess is that while last week she had to talk about it having missed performing she may well want to keep fairly silent about it now and move forward adjusting training appropriately.

O/T Also agree with you about hoping to see Chloe on the Christmas Special LL. I think she's fantastic in the pro dances with AJ and like her on ITT but she hasn't had much airtime and it would be nice to see more of her. I think AJ's doing a great job partnering Claudia.

It seems right Karen should get to take part in the CIN special though and hopefully the Christmas Special too.

Have just caught a brief snippet of Laura and Gio arriving on the Red Carpet at the Pride of Britain Awards. Laura wearing a very fetching cream dress and Gio looking dapper. Live streamed on Facebook but am sure there will be pics in the press later.
