And you can see Laura's costume tonight here in the Children in Need pics

http://www.dailymail.co.uk/tvshowbiz...d-special.html

Blue skirt with a boa hem, beaded bodice with spaghetti straps. Gio in midnight blue shirt. Both looking very very gawjuss.

Please don't let yourself be distracted by Ore's manly chest.... Alijaz and AJ have both clearly upset wardrobe.

Ed is channelling the fat one from Laurel and Hardy
OMG AJ!

Oh the purple prose in that daily mail CIN article is on top form too! I swear it must be bored writers having a competition as to who can sound the most ridiculous.

As for people who comment on the daily mail, they are a warning to us all.
You just know they'd be at Trump rallies had they been born in the states

Laura looked so disappointed

I thought she did well but what was that ending? Really surprised that Gio choreographed that to be all about him, I liked the earlier part of the routine.

She looked incredible, but unfortunately I think she's likely in trouble tonight and if she gets through will depend very much on who she's against (I think Daisy would beat her unless they can correct the mistakes). I don't think Gio was showboating for vanity purposes so much as trying to protect her ankle.

Hi shaposh,

I just thought that if her ankle was the reason he could still have choreographed an ending that showed off Laura. Up to this dance he's showcased her brilliantly.

Will be voting multiple times, do think they're in trouble and would probably go against anyone who's danced so far bar Ed and he was really good. Wonder how Laura will fare with her ankle if she has to dance again.

I agree with you really, I was just trying to find some way to spin it! I like Gio a lot and think he's a brilliant choreographer, but I can't help but feel that he let Laura down a little bit tonight. I hope her ankle holds up, because to be honest I'd be quite surprised if she manages to escape the dance off as things stand.

I do think Laura is in trouble tonight she wasn't bad at all but I think it was just too fast for her and it's such a tough year. Voted for her though!

Voted for her but really do expect her to be in the dance off. Think the only one she would stand a chance against in Ed and even then I am not sure how it would go

I suspect Laura's injury is still troubling her - I thought I saw her grimace at one point during the dance. Giovanni was no doubt trying to distract with his flamboyant moves.

Sadly I think Laura is almost certainly going to be in the dance off, and if against anyone else except Ed will probably be eliminated.

Not posting on here until after tomorrow's results in case I accidentally give away the spoiler.

She posted an Instagram earlier today with her leg with an ice pack or something on the ankle so I'm guessing it's still iffy such a fast, fast dance and recovering from injury it must've been hard. She did well but maybe not well enough I don't want to see her go but I fear she will 😭😭😭

Rotten luck that they were given samba this week.

Well done to the producers for deciding that Samba was the best possible dance choice for someone with a leg injury that is a) strapped and b) still under treatment

Laura I thought overall did well with it. The crowd enjoyed it - you could see the reaction in the room.

Gio gave himself batucadas whilst Laura had no steps but body and arm motion to insert a small rest for her ankle in the middle of the routine. I was OK with that. There was something slightly limited about the steps Gio choreo'd which I think is probably working around her injury.

The ending... well. He should have choreo'd something that kept Laura on camera. Much as I love Gio's spins. I am wondering if on Thursday something was cut from the choreo and he put the spins in? Maybe she could only get 70 seconds dance out of that leg. The final spins were certainly camera-blocked on Friday as the camera knew to follow Gio, not Laura.

Craig was guaranteed to pick Gio up on it after the pasting he gave Natalie last week for 'protecting Greg'.

Just a couple of points separating Daisy, Ore, Rinder, Claudia, Greg and Laura - which is how it felt to me watching it, apart from Claudia who I think was undermarked. I also enjoyed Louise's AT and Danny's Jive tremendously.

I agree samba was the worst possible choice for Laura. It must have been so painful fo her. Under normal circumstances she should not be doing any kind of dancing let alone the samba. Hang your head in shame production team.

I really am annoyed that she got a samba All her latin dances have been full on could they not have given her a nice rumba?

Totally agree regarding the dance they were given. It is a bit frustrating to read comments in the MF around 'Gio should have chosen a different dance' 'chosen different music' 'slowed the music down'. The producers give them dance, music and tempo. No choice.

I think its likely that Bamboleo was their Samba song as allocated at the start of the series, given Gio's excellent Samba to Volare. But it is quite a bit faster than Volare.

Rhumba would have been a better allocation for them this week - and no-one else was dancing a rhumba so there was no conflict. But the producers gave them Samba

So Salsa, Quickstep, Jive, Tango, Samba. Just what you would expect as a sequence of dances for someone with a lower leg injury. NOT.

Unfortunately there was no good dance for her injury but lower heels and an altered, slower Samba routine could have placed less strain on her ankle in training and showcased her better.

Laura is hosting the MTV EMAs red carpet in Rotterdam this evening and posted these photos earlier asking people to vote for which dress she should wear. Looking forward to some stunning photos of her tonight

I agree that there was no good dance option - but no doubt that Rhumba would have been much easier on her leg. But.. they didn't get that dance this week.

I am feeling (just a guess) that Gio started with his original flashy choreo (pre-injury) and then tweaked it - rather than starting from scratch to design a routine that suited Laura-with-an-injury.

I agree that there was a more suitable, clever routine to that music and that tempo than the one we saw. Which might - and only might - have upped her score by a couple of points - an 8 from Craig and maybe a 9 from Darcey or Len.

And I am also guessing that training hours were limited this week - more than 12 hours for Tango.. but probably still capped. I think the routine that we saw probably needed more hours to perfect than Laura could train for without causing her leg to flare again. Danny and Oti pulled 22 hours over two days, for example.

(My personal view is that the pro dancers should NEVER train for more than 8 hours in a day with their celebs. Its only light entertainment at the end of the day).
